Fox’s Jessica Tarlov Brings The Receipts When Her Co-Hosts Say Hillary Clinton Is A ‘Threat To Democracy’

Conservatives and right-wingers are absolutely furious that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton dared to say this week that a “deprogramming of the cult members” who constitute a large portion of former president Donald Trump’s base is needed.

Specifically, Clinton remarked:

“Maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members.”
“And sadly, so many of those extremists, those MAGA extremists, take their marching orders from Donald Trump, who has no credibility left by any measure,” Clinton added. “He’s only in it for himself.”

That led to a spirited discussion on Friday’s broadcast of Fox’s “The Five,” with co-host Jeanine “Box o’ Wine” Pirro asking if perhaps Clinton’s comments could be considered a “threat to democracy.”

Pirro’s inquiry led to a sharp response from co-host Jessica Tarlov, who began reminding Pirro of the many disgusting, offensive, and potentially dangerous things that have been said by Trump and his supporters over the years.

“I really need everyone to spare me the faux outrage and the pearl-clutching about this.”

“Little collection of things that Donald Trump and high-ranking Republicans call liberals on a daily basis: anarchists, anti-American, deranged, communists, corrupt, compromised, groomers and perverts, thugs and traitors.”

Tarlov also noted that if President Joe Biden happened to have been indicted on 91 criminal charges the way Trump has, what would Republicans have to say about that? They clearly have no problem with Trump’s legal issues.

“And then I told you, ‘So all of that is happening and he’s shooting up in the polls.’ And when you see those interviews of Trump supporters outside of the rallies, they’re like: ‘None of this is true. It’s the big lie. He won the election.'”
“And you wouldn’t say to me, ‘You guys are in a cult’? It’s actually tame what Hillary Clinton was saying.”

The real reason Republicans are so upset by what Hillary Clinton said is because she’s absolutely right. MAGA is a cult, and the only way cult members can ever be reformed is by deprogramming them.

Cry all you want, Jeanine. The truth always hits hardest for a liar.

Jim Jordan’s Disgusting Past Is Coming Back To Haunt Him As He Makes A Move To Be Speaker

On Wednesday, less than 24 hours after Kevin McCarthy was ousted as Speaker of the House, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) announced that he would be seeking to replace McCarthy, telling reporters, “We need to unite the conference.”

Today, Jordan’s bid to be the next speaker got a major boost when failed one-term, twice-impeached, and multiply-indicted former president Donald Trump gave his blessing to the Ohio Republican, writing on his financially failing Truth Social site:

“Congressman Jim Jordan has been a STAR long before making his very successful journey to Washington, D.C., representing Ohio’s 4th Congressional District. Respected by all, he is now Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. As President, I had the honor of presenting Jim with our Country’s highest civilian award, The Presidential Medal of Freedom. So much is learned from sports, and Jim was a master! While attending Graham High School, he won State Championships all four years, a rarity, and compiled an amazing 156-1 record. At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Jim became a two-time NCAA Division l Wrestling Champion. He won his 1985-86 NCAA Championship Matches in his weight class. Jim has a masters degree in Education from Ohio State University & a Law Degree from Capital University. He is STRONG on Crime, Borders, our Military/Vets, & 2nd Amendment. Jim, his wife, Polly, & family are outstanding – He will be a GREAT Speaker of the House, & has my Complete & Total Endorsement!”

So does Donald’s blessing mean Jordan is a shoo-in for the post of speaker? Hardly. That’s mainly because Jordan comes with more than a little baggage, and it’s among the worst sex scandals to ever take place on a college campus.

As Cleveland.com reported in 2020 when Jordan was named as chairman of the House Judiciary Committee by the now-deposed McCarthy, Jordan’s recollections of why he didn’t report sexual abuse of athletes on the Ohio State University wrestling team while he was an assistant coach on that team doesn’t square with what victims have alleged.

Although Jordan has repeatedly insisted he didn’t know team doctor Richard Strauss was sexually mistreating athletes in his charge, former OSU wrestler Adam DiSabato called Jordan a “liar” at a Tuesday House Civil Justice Committee hearing on a bill that would let Strauss’ victims sue Ohio State for damages. DiSabato also said Jordan contacted him repeatedly in July 2018, after media outlets quoted his brother, Michael DiSabato, saying Jordan knew about Strauss’ abuse.

“Jim Jordan called me crying, groveling… begging me to go against my brother…That’s the kind of cover-up that’s going on there,” said DiSabato, who is among a group of former OSU wrestlers who filed lawsuits that allege the school ignored Strauss’ abuse.

Trump’s endorsement of Jordan could wind up being both a blessing and a curse considering the ex-president’s own sordid past, including numerous accusations of sexual assault made by dozens of women against him and his bragging on video about how he likes to grab women “by the pussy” and kiss them against their will.

It’s too soon to say if Jordan has a chance of winning considering how abrasive and divisive he is. But one thing is certain: He’s unfit for office and should never be allowed to rise to second in the presidential line of succession.

Disgraced Kevin McCarthy Plans To Resign Before His Term In Office Ends

Disgraced ex-Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is planning to resign from his seat in Congress before the end of his term in 2024, according to reports from Politico and CNN.

Mediaite notes

“The ex-Speaker has said he does not intend to make another attempt to wield the gavel — the memory of the excruciating fifteen rounds of votes it took him to win it in January is undoubtedly still a raw wound — but the news he might forgo running for re-election on the November 2024 ballot and even resign before the end of his term was new Friday.”

Olivia Beavers of Politico notes that McCarthy “has made clear he plans to stay at least through the speakership election that begins next week before ending his House career…in order to help the party steady itself after a seismic shakeup.”

Additionally, the former speaker is said to have told his GOP colleagues, “I’m going to spend time with my family.”

Despite McCarthy’s plans, some of his House Republican allies insist they will enter his name into nomination when a vote for the next speaker is held.

One of those, Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA), says McCarthy is needed now more than ever:

“Each day that goes by without a Speaker, the House is paralyzed to act on the dangers bearing down on us. Each day brings us closer to a power-sharing arrangement that will move the House sharply to the left and eliminate the only political counterweight in our elected government to the woke left.”

“The only workable outcome is to restore Kevin McCarthy as Speaker under party rules that respect and enforce the right of the majority party to elect him,” McClintock added. “This depends entirely on several of the dissidents to disenthrall themselves from their decision and to repair the damage before it is too late. I appeal to them to act while there is still time.”

The two most frequently mentioned names to replace McCarthy are Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Steve Scalise (R-LA). Jordan has announced he will seek the post while Scalise is said to be considering whether or not to toss his hat into the ring.

Matt Gaetz Showed Videos On House Floor ‘Of The Girls He Had Slept With’

A GOP colleague of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is making it clear that many in the Republican caucus are disgusted with the Florida congressman and have been for quite some time now, in large part because Gaetz has never made a secret of his sexual exploits, even bragging about them to his fellow House members and showing graphic videos of women he claimed to have slept with.

Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) told CNN’s Manu Raju that Gaetz had been relegated to virtual irrelevancy until he decided to oust House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

“You’ve gotta think about this guy. This is a guy that didn’t have – that the media didn’t give the time of day to after he was accused of sleeping with an underage girl. And there’s a reason why no one in the conference came and defended him – because we had all seen the videos he was showing on the House floor that all of us had walked away, of the girls he had slept with.”

“He bragged about how he would crush E.D. (erectile dysfunction) medicine and chase it with energy drinks so he could go all night. This is obviously before he got married. And so, when that accusation came out, no one defended him. And then no one in the media would give him the time of the day. All of a sudden he found fame because he opposed the speaker of the House back in November. And he’s always stayed there. And he was never gonna leave until he got this last moment of fame by saying– by going after a motion to vacate.”

Gaetz was investigated by the Justice Department for allegedly paying underage girls to have sex with him, including allegations that he had transported minor girls across state lines for the purpose of sex. No charges were filed by the DOJ.

In recent weeks, however, Gaetz’s alleged past actions have come back to the fore, with reports indicating that many in the House GOP caucus are ready to boot him from the body once the House Ethics Committee concludes an investigation of him for suspected drug use and sex with minors.

For his part, Gaetz said he hardly knows Mullin, remarking:

“I don’t think Markwayne Mullin and I have said 20 words to each other on the House floor.”
“This is a lie from someone who doesn’t know me and who is coping with the death of the political career of his friend Kevin. Thoughts and prayers.”

Matt Gaetz is a pustule on the U.S. Congress. Here’s hoping his colleagues excise him from that body as soon as possible.

Peter Doocy Gets His A*s Handed To Him For Asking If The White House Is ‘Loving’ GOP Disarray

As he so frequently does, Fox “News” correspondent Peter Doocy managed to ask a question so stupid that White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was forced to dispatch him with a stinging rebuke.

“Is any part of the West Wing here, just loving the fact that Republicans don’t appear to be able to govern the one part of the government that they actually control?” Doocy asked.

Jean-Pierre responded:

“Nobody’s ‘loving’ anything when we’re not able to deliver for the American people. Nobody’s loving that.”

She added:

“It is important for Congress to work, not for us, but on behalf of the American people. It is important to make sure that we meet the challenges of the American people. That’s what’s important. What we saw, you heard from the President, what we saw on Saturday should have never happened, but we’re glad that a deal was made. We’re glad that we’re not in a shutdown. But House Republicans should have never gotten us that far.”

The press secretary noted that since Republicans are the majority in the House, “they can fix this.”

“They’re creating the chaos. That is not helpful to the American people.”
“…We’re not loving it. It is not helpful to any American across the country.”
