WATCH A Democratic Congresswoman Fact-Check The GOP For Their ‘Voter Fraud’ Claims

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is sick and tired of hearing Republicans whine about voter fraud that they claim is being committed by Democrats, so she decided she’d set the record straight during a hearing on alleged voting irregularities in the District of Columbia.

Who’s cheating? Crockett asked.

“We haven’t had half as many hearings about guns as we’ve had on voting rights, and every time we seemingly have a hearing on voting rights, we’re talking about the fact that people are cheating, so let’s talk about who’s cheating”

Crockett then brought up the matter of Fox “News” having to pay $787.5 million to Dominion Voting Systems for lying about the 2020 election, along with a law in Georgia which reportedly kept 87,000 people in the Peach State from casting a ballot in 2018.

“I’m running out of time, so I’ma keep going,” she said.

“There also was this article because I don’t want us to base anything on Georgia at all. Please, Jesus, not Georgia. Because Georgia purged 87,000 votes.”

The minute Crockett mentioned Georgia, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) attempted to interrupt, but the Texas Democrat refused to be denied, laying out the receipts that proved her allegation.

“I’m reclaiming my time. All right, so there were 87,000 people that were purged that were legitimate voters, so no we don’t want to copy off of Georgia,” she said.

“Also, another GOP voter admits he committed fraud. Another one in Pennsylvania, man who admits he voted for Trump with his dead mom’s name because he listened to too much propaganda.”

Crockett later noted that had she not been restricted by a time limit, she would gladly have kept listing instances of how the GOP cheats in elections.

Well, done Congresswoman Crockett! Keep slapping down the Republicans for their lies and hypocrisy.

Democrats Say Jim Jordan Fabricated Evidence To Incriminate Hunter Biden

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) has been trying to slag President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, for years now, and is so desperate that he’s now been busted fabricating “evidence” to make Hunter Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken look like they’re part of a conspiracy and cover-up.

Jordan used the Twitter account for the judiciary committee to send out a scurrilous allegation.

#BREAKING: Testimony Reveals Secretary Blinken and the Biden Campaign Were Behind the Infamous Public Statement from Former Intel Officials on the Hunter Biden Laptop

@Jim_Jordan and @RepMikeTurner reveal HUGE news here:”

But as Democrats on the committee point out, the unedited testimony clearly shows that Mike Morell testified he was never asked to write a letter about Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Here’s the testimony:

A spokesperson for Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee released a statement excoriating Jordan and his Republican cohorts.

To smear Secretary Blinken and sensationalize a three-year-old tabloid story, Jim Jordan has released cherry-picked excerpts of a transcribed interview.  To be clear, no part of that interview demonstrates that Tony Blinken or any other Biden campaign official asked Mike Morell to write a letter about Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Mr. Morell is a former CIA Deputy Director and a highly decorated veteran of the intelligence community.  For years, he has advised leaders of both parties—including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who awarded Mr. Morell a Director’s Award for distinguished service.

At no point during his interview did Mr. Morell testify that Secretary Blinken directed or asked him to write any letters.  Instead, Mr. Morell testified that Mr. Blinken sought his advice, as many others have.   In response to questions posed by Chairman Jordan’s own lawyers, he testified that Mr. Blinken did not “direct, suggest, or insinuate in any way” that he should write a letter about Hunter Biden’s laptop.  Nor did Mr. Blinken—then a private citizen—try to get at the letter indirectly.  Mr. Morell testified that Mr. Blinken did not hint that the Biden campaign “could use some help on this” or suggest that Mr. Morell should “cook up something” that the campaign should use.

Instead of focusing on issues that actually affect American families, Chairman Jordan is engaged in yet another political stunt.  This time, he is using taxpayer resources to chase down the origins of a letter written by private citizens, expressing their private opinion, related to a story cooked up by Rudy Giuliani in the last few days of the Trump Administration.

Jim Jordan’s obsession with Hunter Biden and his repeated efforts to try and impugn the integrity of President Biden are failing, so now he’s resorting to lies. Could it be because he still hasn’t testified under oath about his actions on January 6, 2021?

WATCH: Democratic Congresswoman Shreds Jim Jordan For His ‘Playbook Of Lies’

Rep. Stacey Plaskett (D-VI) used a hearing of the House Oversight Committee to take Ohio Republican Jim Jordan to task for his “playbook” of lies and misinformation about the 2020 election and the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of failed one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump.

The hearing was to discuss what Jordan and his GOP colleagues call the “weaponization” of the U.S. government, and Plaskett called Jordan out for only allowing access to documents and other information just minutes before the hearing began, comparing his actions to those of Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who handed over thousands of hours of video from the Jan. 6 attack.

“This is unacceptable. I’m ready for it. I don’t know if a lot of other people are, but just as it was unacceptable for Kevin McCarthy to provide 41,000 hours of sensitive security footage to a biased talking head in an effort to rewrite what happened on January 6th.

“This is a new Republican playbook, apparently. Risk American safety and security to score political points.”

A Republican on the committee then demanded that Plaskett’s remarks be stricken from the record: “The gentlelady’s words should be struck. That is out of line and outside the rules of this committee.”

Plaskett continued her verbal destruction of Jordan and the GOP.

“This is a false narrative. We’re engaging in false narratives here, and we [Democrats] are going to tell the truth.”

When it was his time to speak, a churlish Jordan said, “You guys don’t care. You don’t care. You don’t want the American people to see what happened. The full video, transparency, you don’t want that.”

He continued:

“And you don’t want [the testimony of] two journalists who have been named personally by the Biden administration FTC in a letter. They’re here to tell their story. And frankly, I think they’re brave individuals for being willing to come after they’ve been named in a letter from the Biden FTC.”

Plaskett:

“Is this your question time?”

The clearly agitated Ohio Republican remarked, “No, I’m responding to your ridiculous statements you made in your in your opening statement.”

But Plaskett was more than equal to the task:

“OK, well, let’s get on with it.”

Jordan: “Oh, now we want to get on with it. So you can say all the things you want?”

The congresswoman had the perfect comeback:

“I did in my opening statement as well as you had an opening statement. You said what you needed to say in your opening statement. And I, as the ranking member, have used my time!”

Capitol Insurrection Congress GOP January 6

Jamie Raskin Goes Viral With Withering Takedown Of GOP Lies About January 6

Maryland Democratic Congressman Jamie Raskin is fed up with the lies being peddled by his Republican colleagues and their echo chamber at Fox News, so he’s laying a devastating fact-check on those who continue to try and minimize what happened on January 6, 2021 at the U.S. Capitol when thousands of Trump supporters attacked Congress and tried to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

On the floor of the House Wednesday, Raskin offered a devastating rebuttal to those who still make excuses for the Capitol insurrection, labeling their lies “nonsense.”

It all begins, Raskin noted, with “Donald Trump’s Big Lie” that a second term in office was stolen from him.

“They say, ‘Who knows, maybe he won, maybe he didn’t. You say Joe Biden’s president, we say Donald Trump’s president.’ Nonsense!”

Raskin added:

“Sixty federal and state courts rejected every claim of electoral fraud and corruption that they put forward. Sixty. They don’t have a single court that ever ruled in their favor. Donald Trump lost that election by more than seven million votes, 306-232 in the Electoral College.”

As a result, Raskin said, “Their Big Lie has to stretch all the way over January 6. We have to disbelieve the evidence of our own eyes and our own ears. We saw them come and descend upon this chamber, this Congress, wounding and injuring 150 of our police officers, breaking people’s noses, breaking people’s fingers, putting people in the hospital, and already they’re back on the news with big lies saying, ‘No, no, no, it was a tourist visit.'”

The Maryland Democrat also slammed Republicans and Fox for continuing to suggest that Jan. 6 was a peaceful protest, writing on Twitter:

“Tucker Carlson’s assault on the truth about January 6 is unconscionable, but more scandalous yet is Kevin McCarthy’s central role in its design. America, we cannot let McCarthy and Carlson become the Orwellian editors of our past or the authoritarian authors of our future.”

Jan. 6 was an attack on the American republic by domestic terrorists and their GOP supporters in Congress. If we forget or even minimize that fact, it could well happen again.

GOP Justice Department U.S. Senate

Cory Booker Expertly Debunks Republican Lies About The DOJ At Wednesday Hearing: VIDEO

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) used a Wednesday appearance by Attorney General Merrick Garland before the Senate Judiciary Committee to debunk one lie after another that Republicans are fond of using when it comes to the Justice Department.

It was a master class in debate and logic by Booker, who followed Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) in questioning AG Garland.

First up was the lie Republicans have been repeating all over Fox News that the DOJ had allowed the classification of the drug fentanyl to expire. All drugs are considered for classification from time to time, but the one for fentanyl doesn’t expire until 2024. Garland also confirmed that fentanyl will undoubtedly be classified as a dangerous drug when 2024 arrives.

Booker then moved on to the issue of policing:

“On policing. It took really important steps to ensure that the thought enforcement agencies are engaging in the best practices to make themselves and the public safer. Some of these policies the department has adopted in his making great progress on, including limitations on chokeholds, guidelines for no-knock warrants, which is extraordinarily dangerous for police officers themselves.

“And a cleaner standard for the use of deadly force. Even in the Trump EO included the need for us to have a database that is, I guess, called an accountability database, to serve as a repository for officer misconduct records within the next eight months. Now this past January. Trump’s executive order which was issued in June of 2020 also directed the attorney general to create such a database to collect this information.”

The New Jersey Democrat also mentioned that the Biden administration had worked with Congress on grant programs that fund efforts to help local cops with training and ways to help reduce police violence.

In less than 5 minutes time, Booker effectively swatted down the bullshit that flows from members of the GOP anytime they open their mouths about the Justice Department.
