Eric Trump Attempts To Troll Joe Biden And Winds Up Condemning His Own Father

The last time Eric Trump made much of a stir in the news cycle, it was when New York Attorney General Letitia James was closing in on him earlier this year as she noted in a court filing that she had “significant evidence” of fraud by the Trump Organization, including Eric, who just so happens to be executive vice president of development and acquisitions for his daddy’s company.

Back then, Eric was whining about the investigation being conducted by the New York AG, firing off a tweet he later deleted that read:

“Letitia you can not escape your own words. This is all window dressing for your abuse of office and ethical misconduct (which we are prosecuting you for) and northing more than a PR move to revive a political career after your gubernatorial disaster.”

And now Eric is desperately trying to get his old man to notice him with a posting he made on Truth Social in which he quotes Chinese general/philosopher Sun Tzu:

When you read that quote, name the first person who comes to mind. It’s sure as hell not Joe Biden, is it?

Of course not! The person that comes to mind for the vast majority of us is none other than Donald Trump, the failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president.

Has anyone done more damage to this country than Trump? He tried to engineer a coup so he could stay in power and continue his disastrous policies. That’s why he got beat so badly by Biden.

Twitter was quick to remind Eric that his posting was incredibly self-revelatory.

Trump Says He And His Kids Will Give Depositions – If The New York AG Grants Them ‘Immunity’

Proving yet again that failed, one-term former President Donald Trump fears one thing — testifying under oath — above all others, an appeal filed on his behalf and that of his two oldest children, Don Jr. and Ivanka, demands that the Trumps be given “immunity” if they agree to obey a legal subpoena and to give sworn depositions.

Yes, you read that correctly: He wants immunity because he knows he’s committed numerous crimes and is terrified of being charged with them.

According to CNN, the legal reasoning behind the appeal is nothing short of absurd:

In their appeal filed Monday, Trump and his children Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. argued that if New York Attorney General Letitia James wants their testimony, she should bring them before a state grand jury investigating the Trump Organization, where witnesses receive transactional immunity for their testimony in New York.

The Trumps’ attorneys wrote that if the attorney general’s office is allowed to depose their clients, the state’s constitutional and statutory protections can easily be “eviscerated if the same agency involved in the criminal investigation simply opens up a ‘civil’ investigation into the very same matters.”

“The question is whether the (Office of the Attorney General) can use the office subpoenas to avoid the grand jury process and compel testimony from those whom it does not wish to grant immunity,” the appeal states.

A judge has previously ruled that if the Trumps want to avoid legal liability for giving depositions, they can always invoke their Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination. However, such a move could come back to haunt the Trump family and their company, the Trump Organization because the number of times they cite the Fifth can be introduced as evidence against them in a civil ruling such as the one New York Attorney General Letitia James is seeking. A ruling against the Trump Organization could also lead to the company being shut down and its assets seized by the state of New York.

Eric Trump, who serves as Executive Vice President of Trump Org., gave a deposition in October of 2020 in response to to a deposition from AG James.

Eric Trump Calls His Dad During A Speech To Say He Loves Him – Donald’s Response Is Pathetic

In what may well be the most cringeworthy video to hit social media so far this year, Eric Trump decided he’d phone his daddy during a speech he was giving to a right-wing extremist group to let the old man know he loved him.

Here’s what Eric told his father as he held a cell phone up to a microphone so the crowd could hear him:

“You know what, Dad, there is so much love in this room for this country and for you and everything you accomplished. And, um, I speak on behalf of every single person here: They love you, I love you, we’re proud of you.”

The failed, one-term former president replied:

“Well thank you very much, and everybody enjoy yourselves and have a good weekend, and I’ll be in Ohio soon and I’ll see you all.”

Did you notice that Donald failed to tell his own son that he loves him? What sort of father neglects to do that when one of his kids has left an “I love you” hanging out there?

Twitter users certainly noticed the slight.

WATCH Eric Trump Almost Burst Into Tears During An Interview With Sean Hannity

Things are falling apart for the Trump family, and the stress of multiple investigations — paired with news that the Trump Organization’s longtime accounting firm has dumped the company and declared Trump Org’s financial filings are a lie — led Eric Trump go to on Sean Hannity’s show Monday evening and whine about how bad things are.

At a couple of points during the discussion, Eric even looked like he might start weeping at any moment.

Rather than defend his father and the Trump Organization, Eric Trump used deflection, suggesting that Hillary Clinton needs to be under investigation:

“Where are the prosecutors right now? You know, the same prosecutors, they’ll go after my father every single day for nothing, right? Just because they want to disqualify him because he’s clearly the front runner for 2024.

“Where are those prosecutors? Hillary Rodham Clinton is a New York resident. Let me just kind of break that down for you. She lives in Chappaqua, New York and guess where Trump Tower is located is located? It’s located on Fifth Avenue in New York. Where are these prosecutors? Where is the DA? Isn’t that a federal – Isn’t that a, you know, isn’t that fraud? Isn’t that all sorts of offenses?”

Seconds later, the ex-president’s son asked Hannity:

“Where’s Letitia James in this whole thing? Is she just gonna ignore this because Hillary happens to be in her political party?”

The “whole thing” Eric is referring to is a court filing by Special Counsel John Durham which right-wing media is attempting to prove is a smoking gun that proves Hillary was spying on Trump. Problem is, there’s nothing in that filing that suggests such a thing, as Dean Obeidallah noted on Twitter:

Attorney Marcy Wheeler also explained what a giant nothing burger the Durham filing is during an appearance on MSNBC Tuesday morning:

“One of the things [Durham] revealed in that, which I have heard from other people is this claim that Rodney Joffe was accessing data from the White House. All of that data precedes Trump’s inauguration, so you have Trump out there calling for these people to be put to death when really what happened is Rodney Joffe was trying to keep [then-president] Barack Obama safe from hackers. That’s all it is. That’s why Trump wants these people killed, Durham knows that.”

Poor Eric. He can sense that the walls are closing in on him, his father and two of his siblings, Don Jr. and Ivanka. So he’s lashing out and getting all weepy. He’d do better to keep his mouth shut and let his attorneys handle the matter. Instead, he’s giving prosecutors even more ammunition they can use against him and his family.

Eric Trump Has Childish Meltdown As New York AG Tish James Closes In On Him

It’s been a very bad 48 hours for Eric Trump, who found out that his phone records have been obtained by the House Select Committee on the January 6 Capitol insurrection and is now facing added pressure thanks for a court filing from New York Attorney General Letitia James.

The court filing hit the Trumps like a bolt of lightning, as James made it clear that she has “significant evidence” of criminal acts by the Trump Organization that she continues to pursue:

James, who launched her probe in 2019, also said in the court filing that the former president “had ultimate authority over a wide swath of conduct by the Trump Organization” that involved fraudulent misstatements to financial institutions, the Internal Revenue Service, and other parties.

That means bank and tax fraud. The Trumps have been suspected of those crimes for years.

But rather than remain calm and consult his attorneys, Eric Trump decided he’d have a childish meltdown and share it with the internet, firing off tweets that are certain to come back to haunt him and his family as the case against them moves forward.

What exactly was accomplished with that hissy fit? Does he think mean tweets are going to convince Ms. James to drop the case against him and the Trump Organization? If so, then Eric’s even dumber than he looks.
