For some time now, it’s been very clear that Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) is a self-promoting sack of treasonous shit who will betray his own country in his demented loyalty to fellow traitors such as failed former President Donald Trump.
And yet, despite the many disgusting things Nunes and said and done since arriving in Congress, what he said Thursday — just hours after an attack on American troops in Kabul, Afghanistan — was a new level of crassness, even for him.
During an appearance on Newsmax, Nunes was asked about the terrorist attack which killed 13 U.S. service members by host Greg Kelly. Here’s what the congressman had to say:
The moment Nunes was referring to is when President Joe Biden asked for a moment of silence for the lost service members:
Why would anyone have a problem with what the president did? If Trump had done that (and he never would have, because he’s the most immoral and irreligious man to ever be elected president) Nunes would have wet himself in delight and declared him the greatest American in history.
Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) — who is fresh off losing a lawsuit he filed against CNN — is now suing the parent company of MSNBC, NBCUniversal Media, for defamation because MSNBC host Rachel Maddow dared to reveal his many connections to Russia and Russian operatives who tried to influence the 2016 presidential election.
“California Republican Congressman Devin Nunes sued NBCUniversal Media alleging that MSNBC’s liberal talk show host Rachel Maddow defamed him with on-air suggestions he’d conspired with a Russian agent to rig the 2016 presidential election for Donald Trump.
“Nunes, who is the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, says Maddow has repeatedly targeted him with defamatory statements that accuse him of obstruction of justice and treason. Nunes said Maddow has also called for him to lose his committee post and be stripped of his security clearances.”
What exactly did Maddow say that Nunes is claiming was defamatory? Well, she let the world know about his many ties to Russia and Russian nationals who played a part in running a smear campaign against Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump, who was favored by the Kremlin.
Here’s what Maddow reported on March 8, 2021:
The problem for Nunes is that every single word of what Maddow said is true and easily fact-checked against declassified congressional and intelligence reports on the 2016 election.
So why is Nunes suing? He claims that Maddow and MSNBC never contacted him for comment and therefore he wasn’t allowed to present his side of the story. However, given the fact that Nunes constantly lies, his accusation is almost certainly false.
Also, a journalist as precise and seasoned as Maddow would never air a story without reaching out for comment from Nunes or an official representative who could speak on behalf of the congressman.
The highly litigious California Republican will lose the suit against NBCUniversal, the same way he’s lost all of the other defamation suits he’s filed against media companies — including Twitter — which dared to allow accounts that were critical of Nunes to remain on their platform.
Devin Nunes is a Russian asset. All the lawsuits in the world won’t change that fact.
If perhaps you’ve ever wondered whether or not stupidity is a hereditary trait, consider the case of the family of Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) and their dairy farm just outside Tulare, California.
According to The Tulare Advance-Register, a massive 100-ton hay fire is burning at the Nunes and Sons Dairy, which has investigators wondering what exactly might have caused the blaze.
Well, according to neighbors who live near the Nunes dairy farm, it’s all connected a fireworks show held at the dairy on the eve of Independence Day:
“Neighbors on Oakdale Avenue said they witnessed a ‘Disney-style’ illegal fireworks show and party at the dairy, which is run by a relative of Tulare Congressman Devin Nunes.
“Lori Lockwood, who lives across from the dairy, said she heard loud booms and felt her house shake before midnight. She went outside with her husband and watched the colorful display, she said.
Soon after, Lockwood said her husband noticed a fire spreading in the field that separates their property from the Nunes’ family dairy. She called 911.”
Exceptionally dry weather in California has led officials to to warn against residents shooting fireworks at home, but apparently the Nunes clan doesn’t think the rules apply to them, much like their more well-known relative.
News of a fire at the dairy is especially ironic in light of the fact that Congressman Nunes sued Twitter over a parody account that pretended to be from a cow at the Nunes family dairy, as CNN reported last year:
“California Republican Rep. Devin Nunes cannot sue Twitter over allegedly defamatory remarks made about him by satirical accounts pretending to be his mother and a cow, a Virginia judge ruled Wednesday.
“Nunes sued Twitter, the two satirical accounts and a third Twitter user in March 2019, demanding $250 million in damages and that the anonymous accounts be unmasked.”
@DevinCow had this to say about the dairy fire:
So is stupidity an inherited trait? Mmmm…ooo….yeah.
Now that over a month has passed since the FBI served search warrants on the home and office of Rudy Giuliani, new information is coming to light which suggests that the long-term fallout from the Justice Department’s investigation into the former mayor of New York City may also present major legal problems for two Republican members of Congress: Rep. Devin Nunes (CA) and Rep. Jim Jordan (OH).
Nunes name came up when it was revealed that not only did the FBI serve warrants on Giuliani, but also attorney Victoria Toensing, which led former federal prosecutor Daniel Goldman to respond to some tweets regarding Toensing also being on the warrant list:
That shows Nunes is also caught in the conspiracy that the DOJ is now starting to unravel.
As for Jordan, we since learned that he took $3,000 in contributions from Guiliani. That means he’ll also be getting a visit from the FBI very soon, if he hasn’t already.
Jordan was already facing a very uncertain run for another term in Congress next year, and when it was revealed that he’d taken, his likely Democratic challenger, Jeff Sites, remarked:
“It is beyond outrageous that Jim Jordan accepted money from the target of an active federal investigation. It would be improper for any member of Congress, but especially for Jordan, who helps lead the committee supervising the Justice Department while it conducts this probe.”
So while Rudy may be the one currently in the crosshairs, if Nunes and Jordan played any role whatsoever in Giuliani’s crimes, you can bet they’re going to be placed under the microscope, too.
Oh, there’s also the chance that Giuliani will roll over on Donald Trump and result in him being charged. That’s the only card the former president’s attorney has left to play.
Could Rudy wind up destroying the GOP? It’s beginning to look that way.
