GOP Congressman Threatens FBI Director At House Hearing: ‘Your Day Is Coming, Mr. Wray!’

Members of the House Republican caucus are so out of control that they’re openly threatening federal law enforcement officials and anyone else who dares to disagree with them.

Today it was Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) who went on an extended and fact-free rant that he aimed at FBI Director Chris Wray.

Higgins began his questioning of Wray by suggesting that FBI agents had fueled the violence on January 6, 2021 that resulted in the storming of the U.S. Capitol building.

“Director Wray, last year, you may recall, sir, our exchange regarding the FBI’s involvement on January 6th and prior. I’m happy to jog your memory to quote, according to the record I asked you, ‘Did you have confidential human sources dressed as Trump supporters positioned inside the Capitol on January 6, prior to the doors being open?’ You responded. I quote again, ‘I have to be very careful of what I say.'”

“We can’t get a straight answer, although we have a tremendous amount of evidence harvested and reviewed over the course of the last year which you will see in September,” Higgins continued.

The director replied, “Congressman, as we’ve discussed before, I’m not going to get into where we have or have not used confidential human sources. But what I can tell you…”

Rather than letting Wray complete his response, Higgins cut him off: “Okay, we will move on.”

When Wray noted that Higgins had asked for a “definitive answer,” the congressman haughtily told him, “We will move on, it is my time. You said no, you’re not going to answer, that’s cool we are watching.”

Next, Higgins began asking about what he called “ghost buses,” explaining what he meant by the term:

“Well, it’s pretty common in law enforcement, it is a vehicle that’s used for secret purposes. It’s painted over. There’s two buses in the middle here. There were the first to arrive at Union Station on January 6th, zero-five-hundred. I have all this evidence, I’m showing you the tip of this iceberg.”

When Higgins was told that his time had expired, he began ranting at Wray:

“I note that all the members across the aisle have been granted time, and I object to my question being closed. This is a very significant hearing, Mr. Chairman. And these busses are nefarious in nature and were filled with FBI informants dressed as Trump supporters deployed onto our Capitol on January 6th and your day is coming Mr. Wray!”

Clay Higgins needs to either provide some facts to back up his claims of shut the hell up. Oh, and he also needs to loosen the tinfoil hat on his head.
