Chris Christie Explains How He Lives Rent-Free In Trump’s Head By Using ‘The One Thing He Can’t Stand’

Failed and multiply-indicted former president Donald Trump continues to luanch social media attacks on former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who is running against the ex-president for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, suggesting that Christie should drop out of the race.

On his failing Truth Social site, Trump wrote:

“Sloppy Chris Christie, who was rated the Worst Governor in the History of New Jersey, had the lowest approval rating, 8%, had 11 straight downgrades of New Jersey Bonds, a record, was thrown out of New Hampshire after his last debate, and endlessly suffered from the horrible and never ending Bridgegate scandal, SHOULD DROP OUT OF THE RACE. HE IS GOING NOWHERE AND IS VERY BAD FOR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!”

But why in the world is Trump attacking Christie, who is polling in the single digits?

According to Christie, the answer is simple: Because he’s telling the brutal truth about Donnie.

During an appearance on CNN evening, Christie told host Kaitlan Collins, “He only wishes I was going away. I was laying out the truth about him.”

Christie added:

“He knows I’m not just some politician talking about his problems. I’m someone who’s done it, and done it well.
“I know how deep his problems are, and how much they’re damaging both the Republican Party and the country,” Christie said. “I’m not getting out this race. Maybe he should think about getting out of the race since he’ll be spending most of March and half of April in a courtroom in Washington, DC.”

The fact that Christie is running is also likely a reason Trump is refusing to participate in the GOP presidential debates. Trump knows Christie can eviscerate him during a face-to-face and make him look like a complete fool.

Here’s hoping Chris Christie remains in the race and continues to lob verbal artillery at Donnie. If nothing else, it should make for some great quotes and one-liners.

Chris Christie Is Asked For ‘The Truth On Trump’ – His Response Is Pure Gold

Though it remains to be seen if he can possibly gain any traction in the 2024 Republican race for the presidential nomination, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is certainly making the strongest case against failed former president Donald Trump, holding nothing back when asked about the ex-president and his current legal predicament.

During an interview with Robert Costa of CBS News, Christie was asked for “the truth on Trump,” and his response was nothing short of pure gold and guaranteed to trigger Donnie in a major way.

“He’s a completely self-centered, self-possessed, self-consumed, angry old man.”

“And he doesn’t care about anyone else other than him” Christie added. And if he were ever to become president again, I’ll take him at his word. He said, ‘I am your retribution.’ Well, he’s not our retribution, Bob. He will be his own retribution.”

Christie also said that his “breaking point” was when Trump claimed without a shred of evidence that the 2020 election had been stolen by Democrats.

“That moment was the breaking point for me, and to me, there’s no turning back.”

Didn’t you used to support Trump? Costa asked. Aren’t you being a flip-flopper?

Christie replied, “I’m no different today than I was when I supported him in 2016. He’s the one who kept classified documents against the law. That lied to his lawyers and lied to the government.”

A completely self-centered, self-possessed, self-consumed, angry old man. That’s one of the most accurate descriptions of Donald Trump ever offered by anyone.

Chris Christie Claims Biden’s Tax Increases Are ‘Socialism’ And Gets Slapped Down By Angela Rye

You can tell that former New Jersey GOP Gov. Chris Christie is planning to run for president in 2020 because he’s already using the “socialism” scare word when discussing President Joe Biden’s planned capital gains tax cut to fund infrastructure programs.

But while Christie was spouting talking points, he quickly got his head handed to him by Democratic strategist Angela Rye, who told him and Republican operative Sarah Fagan:

“I think it’s so rich to hear folks talking about Joe Biden’s far-left agenda. If it is too far left to sign 60 executive orders overturning the hatred that was in Donald Trump’s executive orders — at least 23 of them — if it is far left to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord, if it’s far left to end the Muslim travel ban, if it is far left to restore the partnership with the World Health Organization then I think most of the country is far left.”

That led Christie to claim that Biden’s proposals aren’t popular with the American people. What he neglected to mention is that a recent poll showed 59% of those surveyed said they support the Biden infrastructure program:

“Look, we can set up strawmen and say he overturned this executive order but that’s not what we’re talking about. The capital gains issue is nothing more than income redistribution. It’s socialism.”

Rye could be heard laughing as Christie spoke, and she was more than ready for him, slapping him down with this retort:

“It’s so interesting to hear this allegation of socialism,” she said. “I know these are buzzwords that work very well with the Republican Party so congratulations for using them this morning.

“But we have people in a pandemic that you said wouldn’t matter by the time you get to the fall, and on the left there’s a conversation happening about student loan debt. How much should be forgiven? $50,000 vs. $10,000. And we’re talking about a capital gains increase when you all just had basically the reparations we’ve been asking for [in] your last tax proposal. So I don’t even understand what we’re talking about here.”

One other thing on capital gains taxes: The vast majority of Americans never have to pay them. The wealthiest taxpayers do. And taxing them won’t do any long-term damage to the economy, despite what conservatives try to claim.

Nice try, Chris, but Angela Rye made sure your lie was exposed and countered with facts.
