Gloves Off: Stephen King Calls Donald Trump A ‘Traitor To The American Way Of Life’

Though he’s been critical of failed one-term former president Donald Trump in the past, novelist Stephen King is now accusing Trump of being a traitor for remarks he made Saturday in South Carolina about how he would “encourage” Russia to attack NATO nations that don’t meet their financial obligations to the alliance.

As the Washington Post reported, “One of the presidents of a big country stood up and said, ‘Well, sir, if we don’t pay and we’re attacked by Russia, will you protect us?,’” Trump said during a rally at Coastal Carolina University. “I said, ‘You didn’t pay. You’re delinquent.’ He said, ‘Yes, let’s say that happened.’ No, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want.”

That was the breaking point for King, who expressed his disgust on social media.

King received plenty of support from others on Twitter/X.

Delusional Right Winger Says Taylor Swift Will Perform At Trump’s Second Inauguration

You’ve probably never heard of Debra Lea, who works as an “ambassador” for Turning Point USA, the right-wing organization that advocates for conservative politics on high school, college, and university campuses, but she’s convinced that Taylor Swift will agree to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration if he wins the election in November.

Lea was a guest on Newsmax Sunday, and she began by saying she doesn’t think that Swift will agree to endorse President Joe Biden’s reelection effort.

“A lot of people on the right have been, but I don’t see a big conspiracy theory here,” Lea said. “But as we’ve seen with her private jet, she just sold her private jet after a lot of peer pressure from people saying she’s one of the worst celebrities in terms of carbon emissions, and there was a kid tracking her jet that she’s trying to sue right now.”

“She’s clearly susceptible to community pressure, peer pressure, so I think we should use our voices to pressure her to vote for the right candidate, for the Republican candidate, instead of just assuming she’s gonna vote for Biden and boxing her in,” Lea continued. “I think we should try to win her over to our side. I’m a Swifty, I’m a Republican Swifty, and I would love to see people on our side perform at Trump’s inauguration.”

“You know, a girl can dream, and I think we gotta work on that front, on winning her over, rather than just pushing her further left.”

WATCH A Fox News Host Confront Tom Cotton For Being Terrified Of Donald Trump

Fox News host Shannon Bream put Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) on the spot for his and others in the GOP’s fear of failed former president Donald Trump and the way he is “brainwashing” Republicans.

On Fox News Sunday, Bream referenced a recent report from Politico about how Trump had successfully convinced congressional Republicans to kill bipartisan legislation dealing with the border.

“So President Biden not only gets to blame you guys about the border, but he gets to blame President Trump, who he says tanked this whole deal, saying he wants to keep it alive as a campaign issue and that basically, he’s running the GOP at this point,” Bream began.

“Politico says this, quote, it’s devastating Trump seizes unmatched control over GOP, talking a quote there from an analyst, and saying this, he’s got a stronghold, quoting Amy Tarkanian, former chair of the Nevada Republican Party.”

“I don’t know how to explain it,” Bream said, quoting a GOP strategist. “It’s completely mind-boggling to me, the type of brainwashing that has been done.”

“Critics say there’s no check on him within the GOP,” she added. “You’re all afraid of him. You’ve endorsed him. What do you make of this argument that he’s essentially taken away your autonomy as a senator?”

Cotton tried to suggest that he wasn’t merely a puppet for Trump and the MAGA movement, but his denial wasn’t very convincing.

“Not all, Shannon,” he responded. “What President Trump saw about this bill is what most Arkansans saw about it, what all but four Republican senators saw, which is that it does not solve the problem.”

“What I want to do, what most Republican senators want to do, what President Trump wants to do is stop the border crisis,” he continued. “And now we can see, with Joe Biden ideologically invested in open borders, the way to stop that crisis is to elect President Trump this fall.”

“He did it once. He can do it again.”

But did Trump actually stop the border crisis, as Cotton suggests? A new report from Semafor suggests he didn’t, and the numbers are not on Trump’s side.

During its final two years, Trump’s administration released 713,000 immigrants into the US, or 52% of all people crossing the border, per a recent Cato Institute analysis. By comparison, the Biden administration released 49% of migrants entering between ports of entry in the first two years, totaling 2.5 million.

Tom Cotton and 99.9% all Republicans have turned the GOP over to Trump and the MAGA extremists. Are they brainwashed, or are they merely showing their true colors now that Trump has made it acceptable to be a bigot if you’re a member of his party?

Trump Claims Democrats Will Change The Name Of Pennsylvania If They Win In November

Speaking to National Rifle Association (NRA) on Friday in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, failed one-term, twice-impeached, and multiply-indicted former president Donald Trump made one of his most ridiculous claims yet: Democrats want to rename the Keystone State.

According to Trump, it’s absolutely imperative that he win in November.

“Or we’re not going to have Pennsylvania. They’ll change the name. They’re going to change the name of Pennsylvania.”

While he was at it, Trump also raised the specter of schools and other public institutions not being named after Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.

“That’s one even I thought was safe. Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, their names are now in danger.”

Where did Trump even get the idea that Pennsylvania could be renamed, even though absolutely no one has suggested that? It appears to be based on a report that National Park Service proposed removing a statue of William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania, from a park in Philadelphia.

The park service later withdrew its proposal and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) announced, “I’m pleased Welcome Park will remain the rightful home of this William Penn statue — right here in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Penn founded.”

Social media users had plenty to say about Trump’s obvious scare tactic.

Columnist Warns: Kellyanne Conway Is Pushing ‘Syphilitic’ Trump To Pick Her As His VP

Earlier this week, former Trump administration senior adviser Kellyanne Conway penned an op-ed for the New York Times in which she speculated on who would be the best running mate for Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

Surprisingly, Conway suggested that the best choice for Trump would be a person of color such as GOP Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina.

“Taking all of this into consideration, if I were advising Mr. Trump, I would suggest he choose a person of color as his running mate.”

But as Michael Ian Black of the Daily Beast notes, Conway’s real motive may be much more sinister.

Question: Why did Conway write this piece at all?

A theory: Perhaps Conway’s positioning herself to be Trump’s VP pick. Why else write her piece for the much-despised New York Times, if not for the fact that she knows Trump hate-reads the paper. She suggests he select a person of color knowing full well that Trump is allergic to “diversity hires.” She also takes a bunch of shots at Vice President Harris, possibly auditioning lines of attack she will take on the debate stage if given the nod.

Black supports his theory by explaining that Conway “has a particular set of skills prized by the Trump team.”

For example, Conway is shameless. And she realizes the way to appeal to Trump is to focus on his greed.

Perhaps uniquely among his advisers, Conway understands that the way to Trump’s heart is through his wallet. She happily promoted Trump brands during her time in the White House, to the point that the Office of Special Counsel recommended she be fired for multiple violations of the Hatch Act. Further, she understands that loyalty-as-obsequiousness is precisely what Trump desires. Take this dandy quote: “I believe that Donald Trump is someone who is not fully understood for how compassionate and what a great boss he is to women.”

While Conway has no experience in elected office, it’s worth noting that Trump didn’t either, and he seems to favor people who aren’t part of what he calls the Washington “swamp.”

Could Kellyanne Conway be angling for a spot as running mate for Donald? If so, her op-ed may wind up being a very public way of letting the disgraced ex-president know that she thinks she can work her magic the way she did in 2016 and get him a second term.
