Well, it looks like yet another of Sarah Palin’s money-making schemes has gone sour.
The former half-term Alaska Governor announced Monday that her subscription-based web channel–brilliantly named the Sarah Palin Channel–will now be available for free. An announcement on the site noted:
“Effective August 1st, the Governor will be making all of her content free on her Facebook page and at. If you are a monthly subscriber here on , you will not be charged anything after this month. There’s nothing that you need to do.”
The online posting also stated:
“If you are an annual subscriber, you can have the balance of your subscription refunded to your credit card or you can roll your subscription into one of the other channels on our network. If you choose this option, you’ll get an EXTRA month absolutely FREE. Our networks include:
– New Life TV – Recharge your relationships and grow closer to God
– Alive with Joan Lunden – A vibrant community for women’s wellness and breast cancer patients and survivors
– K-Love TV – Christian Rock, Inspiration, and Family Values”
Oh boy, how exciting does that sound? Apparently so incredibly exciting that Palin is now forced to give away what she once charged $99.95 a year for. Seems even the most extreme right winger thought that was far too much cash to pay for the ravings of a nutjob like Palin.
Palin, of course, refused to say that the change had anything to do with her channel floundering, and instead told herloyal subjects:
“It’s starting August 1st, everything’s free, and just to let you know, that it is an honor to have you subscribe, really it’s been so illuminating and still is so illuminating to read and to respond to many of your insightful comments about current events, about so many things going on in our world today.”
Yeah, it’s free because she realized no one wanted to pay for the dross she so willingly spoons out on a daily basis.
2015 has not been a good year for Palin. Fox News recently announced that it would not renew its contract with Palin, and her daughter, Bristol, became pregnant out of wedlock for the second time despite being a paid advocate for abstinence.
Maybe, as Tina Fey once said while doing a spot-on impression of Palin, the former Vice Presidential candidate can do some “fancy pageant walking” and get paid for that.
