Rudy Brags There Was No ‘Mass Murder’ When He Was NYC Mayor – Conveniently Overlooking 9/11

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has proved once again that his memory and cognition aren’t what they used to be, because he cannot even recall that the most devastating terrorist attack in U.S. history took place on his watch.

Guiliani was a guest on the far-right propaganda network Real America’s Voice so he could hype his son Andrew, who is running for governor of the Empire State, promising Andrew would implement policies that would prevent mass shootings such as the ones seen recently in Buffalo and Uvalde, Texas:

“It all can be done. It’s not magic. I did it. We didn’t have mental people.

“Do you remember a mass murder when I was mayor? I don’t. If it happened, I don’t remember. It couldn’t have been too mass. I don’t remember a mass murder. I don’t remember a riot.”

We didn’t have mental people? What about you, Rudy?! You’re as mentally deficient as they come. Then again, it could just be the booze you’re allegedly so fond of imbibing no matter the time of day.

But of course the most absurd part of what Rudy said is that there was no mass murder when he ran the city.

On September 11, 2001, Al Qaeda attacked the World Trade Center in downtown Manhattan, killing 2,763 people, which is about as “mass” as it gets when it comes to murder. Even Ted Bundy would have been impressed with that sort of body count.

Rudy’s blatant faux pas got him mocked on Twitter:
