Rob Reiner NAILS IT: Election Of Trump Is Invasion Of U.S. By ‘Hostile Foreign Power’

Today, members of the Electoral College will meet in their respective states to decided who will be the next President of the United States. It is expected that person will be Donald Trump, even though he is clearly the most unqualified person in American history to become president.

On Sunday, director Rob Reiner appeared on MSNBC and was discussing Trump with host Joy Reid. Reiner said he feared for the country and also noted that every American needs to be fully aware that we may be about to see a Russian “puppet” become leader of the free world, adding:

“What’s important right now–and we cannot lose sight of this–is that this is the most important thing that’s happened in this country–way beyond Watergate, way beyond Iran-Contra.”

Reiner then added that Russian cyber attacks and other interference amount to an invasion of the United States:

“We have a hostile foreign power that has invaded our country. Make no mistake about it. We were invaded.”

What remains to be seen, the director said, is just how deep the conspiracy goes, and who was involved:

“How far does that invasion go? Was Donald Trump colluding with the Russian agencies? We don’t know this.”

We certainly don’t, and that’s why we need a select committee of Congress–much like the 9/11 commission–to investigate and issue a report so the American people will know exactly what transpired in this election. Should it be proven that Trump knew about Russian efforts to help sway the election in his favor, he should be impeached and thrown from office. He should also be prosecuted as a traitor and sentenced to prison for the rest of his life.
