The fact that conservatives and right-wingers so eagerly embrace and defend those who have been accused and/or convicted of horrible crimes tells you everything you need to know about those who claim to be the party of “law and order.”
Here’s a few examples:
This same blatant hypocrisy also applies to Kyle Rittenhouse, who was accused and later acquitted of shooting and killing two men in Kenosha, Wisconsin who were merely protesting the brutal treatment of blacks by police in the United States.
After his acquittal, Rittenhouse became a cause célèbre of the pro-Second Amendment absolutists who think nothing of carrying assault rifles and other weapons to the grocery store just to buy a gallon of milk and loaf of bread.
So it should come as no surprise that when Bette Midler dared to post a tweet slamming Rittenhouse and his family using the same terminology right-wingers use against LGBTQ Americans, there would be a massive online meltdown among conservatives.
Here’s Midler’s tweet:
It hasn’t yet been confirmed that the kid in the photo Midler shared is actually Kyle Rittenhouse, but it’s still a legitimate commentary about the pro-gun crazies in this country.
Midler’s posting was all it took for right-wingers to have a complete hissy fit online, even though their comments only served to reinforce the point Midler was making.
