While he was at the Walter Reed National Medical Center in October of 2020 for treatment for COVID, failed, one-term, twice-impeached former President Donald Trump demanded that a staffer bring him McDonald’s so he could fill his fat face despite the fact that he had nearly died as a result of the deadly respiratory virus.
How do we know this about Donnie needing his Big Mac fix? It’s one of the details from a new book by former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, according to Maggie Haberman of the New York Times, who has read the tome:
It has long been reported that Trump has a penchant for the most unhealthy food of all: Fast food. That includes McDonald’s, KFC and pizza, all of which are known to contain plenty of empty calories and are also loaded with sodium, both of which are known to cause heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
Of course, none of this should surprise anyone, as others in the former president’s orbit have also reported that is a fast food fanatic.
Corey Lewandowski, who worked as campaign manager for Donnie, wrote that aboard Air Force One “there were four major food groups: McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, pizza, and Diet Coke.”
Lewandowski also reported what Trump’s usual McDonald’s order consisted of, and just reading it’s enough to put you in need of an angioplasty:
How many calories would that be in one sitting? Each Big Mac contains 563 calories. The fish sandwiches have 379 calories each. The chocolate shake rings in at 520 calories for a small. Does anyone think Trump got a small? No way.
The total of those calories is over 2.400. And the average American is only supposed to consume 2,000 calories per day. At least now we know why Donnie has long appeared to be morbidly obese. A steady diet of McDonald’s and KFC will do that to you.
