New Trove Of Cohen Documents Being Released Tuesday May Expose More Trump Crimes

Some very bad news arrived for Donald Trump from a court in Manhattan, and the end result may wind up being that all of us will soon know exactly what investigators discovered when the raided the office and residence of Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen, back in April of 2018.

According to Reuters:

“Documents related to the FBI’s raid on Michael Cohen’s office and hotel room must be made public on Tuesday, a U.S. judge ruled on Monday, clearing the way for a glimpse into the investigation that led to criminal charges against President Donald Trump’s longtime personal lawyer.

“U.S. District Judge William Pauley in Manhattan ordered federal prosecutors to file redacted versions of the documents, which had been sealed, on Tuesday. Pauley had ordered the prosecutors to prepare the redacted versions for public filing last month, in response to a motion by news media organizations.”

While we know that Cohen eventually pleaded guilty to bank and tax fraud, along with lying to Congress under oath, it remains unclear what evidence he may have given to federal prosecutors as part of his plea agreement. Cohen was sentenced to three years incarceration and will begin that sentence in May.

Even if the documents in question are redacted, they may well shed more light on what crimes federal investigators are considering against the president and members of his family, including his three eldest children, Don Jr., Eric, and Ivanka. Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, is also thought to be in legal jeopardy as a result of his actions during the 2016 presidential campaign.

This new trove of documents might also contain information about other co-conspirators who have long been mentioned as possibly being under the microscope by authorities looking into the 2016 presidential race and the Trump Organization. Among those who might be exposed: Former Trump campaign manager Steve Bannon, Vice President Mike Pence, and even members of Congress such as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.

It’s long been said that Trump is most fearful of the dirt Cohen has on him, and some of that dirt may wind up coming home to haunt the president on Tuesday.
