Earlier today, former Trump attorney and fixer Michael Cohen testified again before a grand jury impaneled by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg as part of the investigation being conducted into hush money payments the disgraced former president made to Stormy Daniels, which is a violation of New York election law.
You may recall that when Cohen testified before House Oversight Committee in 2019, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) viciously attacked him, accusing him of lying before the panel.
At one point, Jordan remarked:
“This might be the first time someone convicted of lying to Congress has appeared again so quickly in front of Congress.”
However, Cohen gave as good as he got, telling Jordan:
“Shame on you, Mr. Jordan. I am remorseful. I am going to prison. I will be away from my wife and children for years.”
And now Cohen has a warning for the Ohio Republican, going on MSNBC Wednesday after he testified before the Manhattan grand jury and noting:
“I know what you are doing. I know the playbook. Because I helped to write it for Donald. It’s not going to work for you. Truth is the truth. And as Buddha says, truth will always rise.”
Truth will indeed always rise, and truth is something Jim Jordan doesn’t know the first damn thing about.
