Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo was so stunned by a blatant lie that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told on her show Sunday morning that she couldn’t resist laughing at him as she went to commercial.
During a discussion of policies coming from the Biden administration, Graham claimed that a million people would be coming to the United States illegally:
“By the summer, you’re going to have a million people coming into this country illegally. All because the liberals can do it.”
Bartiromo, who is normally eager to back up the lies members of the GOP tell on her show, immediately pushed back on the senator, laughing as she told him:
“A million people sounds like it’s more than a couple of years totals by the way. 2021 — a million people, that’s more than ’18 and ’19.”
Desperately trying to regain his footing, Graham declared:
“Get ready for an invasion at the border.”
Fear and lies. That’s all Republicans have when it comes to “debating” anything President Joe Biden does. Not a single GOP senator cast a vote for the COVID-19 rescue package that was narrowly advanced in the upper chamber on Saturday. They have no answers, no solutions, and no facts. They just have hyperbole and bullshit. No wonder they no longer control anything in the nation’s capital.
