Crime Russia Russia Investigation Trump-Russia

Looks Like Robert Mueller Has His Own November Surprise — It’s Mueller Time!

Since he was appointed in May of 2017, Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team of investigators have been busy compiling evidence, interviewing people, and presenting testimony to grand juries that have so far resulted in 35 indictments or guilty pleas. In other words, it’s been a by the books probe with plenty of results.

But the question remains: How much longer with the Russia investigation continue? When will we see Mueller’s final report and possible indictments of the so-called “big fish” such as Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, and maybe even President Trump himself?

Based on a new report from Bloomberg, it now appears we won’t be waiting much longer:

“Special Counsel Robert Mueller is expected to issue findings on core aspects of his Russia probe soon after the November midterm elections as he faces intensifying pressure to produce more indictments or shut down his investigation, according to two U.S. officials.

“Specifically, Mueller is close to rendering judgment on two of the most explosive aspects of his inquiry: whether there were clear incidents of collusion between Russia and Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, and whether the president took any actions that constitute obstruction of justice, according to one of the officials, who asked not to be identified speaking about the investigation.”

The timing of such “findings” is of utmost importance, especially if Democrats take control of the House, as they’re expected to in the upcoming midterm election, which is now less than two days away. Mueller and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein can then submit the report and other materials to Congress. Then, if the evidence warrants it, the House can draw up articles of impeachment against Trump.

While it would take 67 members of the Senate to vote for Trump’s impeachment — which is unlikely — the very act of impeachment would be politically devastating to the president, who already has historically low poll numbers. And if the Mueller information shows even a hint of collusion or conspiracy with Russia, it would also serve to badly weaken and even cripple Trump in the final two years of his term.

Also, the Mueller report can be a sort of blueprint for investigators in the Southern District of New York and for New York state authorities who are also probing Trump’s years of questionable dealings.

Bottom line: The November surprise for Donald Trump won’t just be the election results. His own illegal actions are about to laid out for all to see.

It’s Mueller time!
