Karma: Lauren Boebert’s Shooters Grill Is Being Replaced By A Mexican Restaurant

You may recall that back in July Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) was forced to close her gun-themed restaurant in Rifle, Colorado after her landlord refused to renew her lease.

At the time, Colorado Pols reported:

As readers know, Shooter’s Grill lost hundreds of thousands of dollars during its few years of operation according to tax filings, and the eatery never lived down the 2017 incident in which Boebert’s food truck sickened dozens of spectators at a local rodeo. Quality food and service was never the draw of Shooter’s Grill, of course, bringing in customers (at least once for the novelty) with their armed and generally young female wait staff.

Boebert reportedly waited until after the June 28th primary to make the decision about closing Shooter’s Grill after the building’s landlord signaled his intention to cancel Boebert’s lease at the end of August. With Boebert’s Republican primary opponent dispatched, Boebert’s cash flow from her newfound fame looks secure enough to dispense with the dirty work of running a small-town greasy spoon–management of which Boebert had reportedly already farmed out to political supporters.

But in what can truly be called a Christmas miracle (mixed with a wonderful dose of karma) we now learn that the old Shooters Grill is being replaced by a Mexican restaurant, which is so rich with irony that it will no doubt be lost on the GED queen, who probably thinks irony is something you do to wrinkled clothes.

How sweet is that?! Boebert is being replaced by a Mexican, which is so perfect that if you wrote as fiction an editor would probably tell you there’s no way anyone would believe it.

But we have to believe the truth, unlike the Trump/MAGA faithful, who remain convinced the 2020 election was stolen from the worst president in American history.
