Donald Trump Impeachment The Trump Adminstration

John Bolton Just Made It Clear He Has The Ukraine Dirt That Can Destroy Trump

Even though he only served as national security adviser in the Trump administration for 17 months, John Bolton was involved in every foreign policy decision made during his time in the White House, including Trump’s attempt to extort Ukraine for dirt on Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, in exchange for hundreds of millions of dollars in military aid.

According to reports, Bolton was disgusted by Trump’s actions regarding Ukraine, according to testimony given during a deposition by former White House aide Fiona Hill:

“Hill testified that Mr. Bolton told her to notify the chief lawyer for the National Security Council about a rogue effort by Mr. Sondland, Mr. Giuliani and Mick Mulvaney, the acting White House chief of staff, according to the people familiar with the testimony.

“’I am not part of whatever drug deal Sondland and Mulvaney are cooking up,’ Mr. Bolton, a Yale-trained lawyer, told Ms. Hill to tell White House lawyers, according to two people at the deposition.”

Bolton was so disgusted by the Ukraine “drug deal” that he’s making it clear he’s ready to tell the House impeachment committee exactly what he witnessed while serving as the top national security official for the administration.

According to Bolton’s attorney, his client has all kinds of intriguing information about what he witnessed during his service in the West Wing, the New York Times reports:

“John R. Bolton, President Trump’s former national security adviser, knows about ‘many relevant meetings and conversations’ connected to the Ukraine pressure campaign that House impeachment investigators have not yet been informed about, his lawyer told lawmakers on Friday.

The lawyer, Charles J. Cooper, made that tantalizing point in a letter to the chief House lawyer in response to House committee chairmen who have sought Mr. Bolton’s testimony in their impeachment proceedings, arguing that his client would be willing to talk but only if a court rules that he should ignore White House objections.”

So while we already know about the attempts by Trump to get Ukraine to launch an investigation into the Bidens, Bolton’s lawyer is suggesting that his client has even more juicy details about things done by the president regarding Ukraine that could well lead to more articles of impeachment or at least provide supporting information to bolster the case against Trump.

Bolton has the goods on Trump; his attorney made that clear. And once the courts rule Bolton and others can ignore White House claims of executive privilege, he’s eager to tell what he knows.

How ironic would it be if Bolton — who is loved by conservatives — winds up being the person who destroys Trump?
