Joe Biden The Trump Adminstration

Joe Biden Lays A Burn On Ivanka Trump That Has The Nation Cheering

Now that the Trumps are out of the White House, President Joe Biden is making it clear his administration won’t be a place that his entire family will work and make decisions on behalf of his administration. In other words, the days of endless nepotism (i.e. Jared and Ivanka) are over, and they won’t be back as long as Biden is sitting in the Oval Office.

And the way Biden made that clear during an interview with People contained what many are saying sounds a lot like a subtle (or not-so-subtle) burn aimed directly at Ivanka, who has just moved to an exclusive neighborhood in Miami.

During the interview, President Biden remarked:

“We’re going to run this like the Obama-Biden Administration.

“No one in our family and extended family is going to be involved in any government undertaking or foreign policy. And nobody has an office in this place. They always have access to Pop and Nana but nobody (will have an office).”

As Bess Levin noted in Vanity Fair, Biden’s promise is a far cry from what we witnessed over the past four years:

“The events of the last four years, though, wherein Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were made not just senior advisers to the president but tasked with overseeing such things as a once-in-a-generation public health crisis, despite having no earthly clue what they were doing, have made such disclaimers necessary. So just so there’s no confusion, Joe Biden has stated unequivocally that none of his adult children, his seven grandchildren—who range in age from a few months to 26 years old—or any other relatives will be given government gigs, nor will they, like, be advising him on the situation in Yemen.”

Thankfully, we’re now rid of the Trumps, and hopefully none of them will ever be anywhere near the White House again, not even for a visit or to mow the lawn.
