Trayvon Martin, had he lived, would have been 21 years old today. On Twitter, an incredibly touching tribute has been set up to memorialize this young man who was taken from the world far too soon. The memorial page can be found at trayvon21.
No doubt you recall that young Trayvon lost his life when a pustule of a human being named George Zimmerman claimed that Martin had threatened his life, so he shot him under Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law. Zimmerman was later acquitted of all charges against him and has since had an illustrious life of beating his girlfriends, waving guns around in public, and making incredibly racist comments on social media about President Obama. Zimmerman, in other words, is the kind of malcontent piece of trash who killed another person and feels this gives him license to act like a royal douchebag for the remainder of his pathetic life.
You would think that on the day we consider the loss of a young man’s life, those on the right who seem to delight in denigrating the poor, or minorities, or anyone who is the least bit different from their cookie-cutter whitebread selves would back away from their usual vitriol and let the family and friends of Trayvon Martin mourn the loss of this young man who never got to realize his dreams.
But you would be so very wrong. Instead, they have gone to the trayvon21 memorial page and posted this kind of disgusting filth, all but spitting on Trayvon’s grave:
Trayvon Martin would have turned 21 today if he hadn't taken a man's head and beaten it on the pavement before being shot.

Reading that kind of trash from people who never even met Trayvon Martin makes me want to puke my guts out. To those who would rather spread hatred instead of love, peace, and understanding, I have this question I hope each of them will carefully consider: What if Trayvon Martin had been your son, your brother, your friend?
Rest in peace, Trayvon. May you walk with angels for all eternity.
