Former President Bill Clinton spent Friday night in the hospital due to a urinary tract infection which reached his bloodstream.
The 42nd president is reportedly “on the mend” after receiving antibiotics intravenously, according to CNN:
“He was admitted to the ICU for close monitoring and administered IV antibiotics and fluids. He remains at the hospital for continuous monitoring,” according to a joint statement Thursday evening from Dr. Alpesh Amin, chair of medicine at UC Irvine Medical Center, and Dr. Lisa Bardack, Clinton’s personal primary physician. They said that Clinton was in the ICU for privacy and safety, not because he needs intensive care.
News of Clinton’s illness was also reported by Fox News, which loves to give illusion that it actually covers the news and isn’t just involved in spreading right-wing propaganda and conspiracy theories.
However, on the Fox News website, comments regarding the former president’s health scare were disgusting and downright deplorable. In other words, exactly what we’ve come to expect from Republicans, especially in the Age of Trump. Here’s a sampling:

A hospital trip was warranted, besides with bill being buddies with ol’ bill gates, he can’t ley anybody know he has the virus with the vaccine in his creepy filthy body.
Hopefully he will go slowly, with excruciating pain and agony.
What would really be great is if all his nurses were guys who identify as girls.
What’s ironic is that many of those who commented are probably Trump worshipers. They idolize a man who has admitted that he lusted for his own daughter when she was only 13, has been accused of sexual assault and rape by dozens of women, and paid off a porn star so she wouldn’t disclose the affair she had with him.
The Cult of Trump remains strong. And pure evil.
