Even Mike Huckabee Is Terrified Trump’s About To Cause A ‘Huge Disaster’ For The GOP

Few people have been a more eager shill and devoted ass kisser for disgraced, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump than the ex-governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee.

So it comes as more than a mild surprise that Huckabee is now warning Republicans could be facing a “huge disaster” if Trump decides to run for the White House again and announces it before the November midterm elections.

According to Fox News, Huckabee made his comments on “The Brian Kilmeade Show” Monday, remarking:

“I think it would be a huge disaster and mistake if he were to announce this before the midterms. Because right now the focus needs to be solely and completely on getting Democrats out of control of the House and Senate and setting up for a much better situation going into 2024.”

Huckabee isn’t alone in his fear that a Trump announcement before November would doom the GOP in the midterms. Instead, they want to continue making the 2022 election about President Joe Biden.

However, Huckabee does think that Trump will seek another term as president, but reiterated his warning, perhaps hoping he can influence the notoriously mercurial, one-term loser into doing what’s best for the party instead of himself:

“To distract the American public from those elections in November, I think would be a huge mistake that could have disastrous consequences.

“It’s like, you don’t take a date to your wife’s funeral. Make sure you let the whole thing play out and you do things in the proper order. It’s out of sequence to be planning the 2024 election before you have the 2022 election.”

Well of course it is, but it’s par for the course when it comes to Trump, a man who never takes anyone else’s advice or counsel and thinks he’s the smartest person in the room even though he’s one of the dumbest humans currently walking the planet.

Here’s a bit of free advice for Mike Huckabee: Dump Trump before you get dragged down with him. Then again, you’re a loser, too, so maybe you two can drag each other down into the morass.
