Not long after the horrific terror attack in London over the weekend, President Trump tweeted out a harsh criticism of London Mayor Sadiq Khan:
At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is "no reason to be alarmed!"
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 4, 2017
As is so often the case, Trump got what Mayor Khan said completely wrong. The actual statement from Khan was:
“My message to Londoners and visitors to our great city is to be calm and vigilant today. You will see an increased police presence today, including armed officers and uniformed officers.
“There is no reason to be alarmed by this. We are the safest global city in the world.”
Once again, Trump used social media to attack someone he has never met and only knows one thing about: Mayor Khan is a Muslim.
But rather than apologize (which Trump is incapable of doing), the president sent his son, Donald Trump Jr. to make an appearance on Good Morning America. Junior said daddy was perfectly justified in his obnoxious tweet aimed at Mayor Khan:
“Every time he puts something out there he gets criticized by the media. All day, every day. And guess what, he’s been proven right about it, every time. We keep saying, ‘it’s going to be great’ and ‘hold fast,’ ‘we’re going to keep calm and carry on.’ Maybe we have to keep calm and actually do something. And I think that’s what he’s trying to say because he’s been proven right about it every time.”
Donald Trump has been proven right every time? Clearly, Junior inherited the pathological liar gene from his father. Here’s just two examples where Donald Trump was terribly wrong:
- The president claimed Barack Obama wasn’t born in the United States and was not a legitimate head of state. He later said he believed Obama was indeed an American citizen.
- Trump also alleged that President Obama had wiretapped him in Trump Tower. Every American intelligence official who has been asked about this charge said there is absolutely zero evidence to support it.
Donald Trump has been right every time? This buffoon is lucky if he’s right one percent of the time. He’s a moron and a fool. And he’s a danger to the safety and security of the United States.
