As you’ve no doubt heard many times in your life, karma can be one mean son of a bitch when it shows up to bite you.
And now the always noxious Ann Coulter is getting a big dose of karma. She showed up for a Comedy Central roast of actor Rob Lowe, and all the other roasters took some heavy shots at Ms. Coulter for being such a nasty shrew of a human being.
It started when comedian Jimmy Carr turned to Coulter and said:
“Ann is one of the most repugnant, hateful, hatchet-face bitches alive. It’s not too late to change, Ann. You could kill yourself.”
Then Nikki Glaser fired what may have been the best line of the evening, telling Coulter:
“The only person you will ever make happy is the Mexican who digs your grave.”
Even perennial nice guy and former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning got in on the act:
“I’m not the only athlete up here. As you know, earlier this year, Ann Coulter won the Kentucky Derby.”
When it was her turn at the microphone, Coulter tried to be funny, but fell flat:
“I’m only here for all the love and respect I have for Rob Lowe and all of the talented performers tonight. It has nothing to do with the book I published four days ago.”
Several other would-be jokes from Coulter also failed to elicit laughter, leading the man of the hour, Rob Lowe, to comment:
“After seeing your set tonight, we’ve seen the first bombing you can’t blame on a Muslim.”
The roast special will premiere on Comedy Central at 10 p.m. ET on Labor Day
