Right Wing Morons Trump-Russia

CNN Panel Goes Off The Rails When Trump Apologist Spouts Conspiracy Theory (VIDEO)

Republicans are getting nervous, and their excuses when it comes to the Russia investigation are getting increasingly ludicrous.

On CNN Monday morning, right-wing radio host Ben Ferguson perfectly exemplified the desperation Trump defenders feel as Special Counsel Robert Mueller moves closer to the Oval Office with each passing day. Ferguson claimed the so-called president is fully cooperating with the Mueller investigation:

“There’s been no indication that those who have been interviewed at the White House in the Mueller investigation have not been fully cooperating. There has been a ton of speculation that the president wants to shut this down, is going to try to shut this down. He hasn’t fired the people that you would need to fire to shut them down.”

That led Bill Kristol of the Weekly Standard to retort:

“His supporters should make clear it is unacceptable to fire Rosenstein and to fire Mueller. It’s unacceptable to rally Republicans to delegitimize the senior leadership of the FBI and DOJ. What if they got something wrong on one FISA application?”

Ferguson then went full Alex Jones/Sean Hannity and tried to revive an already debunked theory of a “secret society” at the FBI that wants to get rid of Trump via a coup:

“You have people on the FBI in their own words on the record who talked about, one, not liking the president, two, possibly needing an insurance policy, and three, possibly having a secret society.”

A visibly amused and annoyed Kristol told Ferguson:

“Secret society! Are we seriously still talking about the secret society, Ben?! Are you asking questions or throwing a lot of mud?”

Host Alisyn Camerota finally had to try and calm both guests down, reminding Ferguson:

“Folks like you and other Republicans that do seem to be bringing up a lot of what you say are really pressing issues that other people think are distractions.”

Probably because that’s all Trump and his apologists have left. But their bogus conspiracy theories aren’t going to work on Mueller and his team of prosecutors.
