Clueless Trump: Putin Is ‘Not Going Into Ukraine’–Which Putin Did TWO YEARS AGO!

We’re all familiar with these axioms:

  • Truth is stranger than fiction
  • Some stories write themselves
  • The dumb seem to get dumber

All of these are on full display today as we dissect an interview Donald Trump gave to ABC News. The host of “This Week,” George Stephanopoulos, asked Trump about whether or not he has ever had a relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which Trump has, on various occasions, both confirmed and denied. Trump responded:

“Well, I don’t know what it means by having a relationship. I mean, he was saying very good things about me. But I don’t have a relationship with him. I didn’t meet him. I haven’t spent time with him. I didn’t have dinner with him. I didn’t– go hiking with him. I don’t know– I– I wouldn’t know him from Adam except I see his picture, and I would know what he looks like.”

Stephanopoulos then asked Trump an important question regarding foreign policy vis a vis Russia: Would Trump, if elected President, allow Putin to take more of Ukraine? He has already annexed Crimea and may want to return all of Ukraine to the Russian orbit. Trump’s response proves just how clueless he is on matters of great import to the United States and the world:

“He’s not going into Ukraine, okay, just so you understand. He’s not gonna go into Ukraine, all right? You can mark it down. You can put it down. You can take it anywhere you want.”

The ABC host was then forced to remind Trump of the annexation of Crimea two years ago! Which led the Orange Menace to declare:

“But you know, the people of Crimea, from what I’ve heard, would rather be with Russia than where they were. And you have to look at that, also. Now, that was under– just so you understand, that was done under Obama’s administration.”

That, you may realize–unlike Trump–is a favorite talking point from the Kremlin whenever anyone dares to suggest that Crimea was once a part of Ukraine.

Donald Trump is a complete moron who knows less about foreign policy than my dog does. He is totally unfit to be President or even collect the garbage in your neighborhood.
