Fox News Brutally Mocks Trump As A ‘Three-Time Loser’ On His Own Social Media Site

Fox News is making it clear that they’re finished with disgraced, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump, even going so far as to call him a “three-time loser” on his failing Truth Social site.

That’s just the latest escalation from Fox, with The Guardian reporting that Rupert Murdoch has let Trump know he will not support his 2024 presidential campaign, which the ex-president recently announced.

After the Republican party’s disappointing performance in the US midterm elections, in particular the poor showing by candidates backed by Trump, Murdoch’s rightwing media empire appears to be seeking a clean break from the former president’s damaged reputation and perceived waning political power.

Last week, Murdoch’s influential media empire, including right-leaning Fox News, his flagship paper the Wall Street Journal, and the New York Post, each rounded on Trump, calling him a loser and a flop responsible for dragging the Republicans into “one political fiasco after another.”

“We have been clear with Donald. There have been conversations between them during which Rupert made it clear to Donald that we cannot back another run for the White House,” a senior News Corp source told thenewspaper.

Instead, Fox and News Corp are going all-in on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who is seen as having a much better chance of winning if and when he decides to run for president.

Lachlan Murdoch, the heir apparent and eldest son, who co-chairs News Corp and runs the parent company of Fox News, has reportedly told DeSantis that the group would back him if he ran in the next election. “Lachlan has been keen on Ron for some time,” said the source. “He’s viewed within the organisation as a sanitised version of Donald.”

DeSantis, who has been called “DeFuture” by the New York Post and “the new Republican party leader” in a Fox News column, has not declared whether he intends to compete to be the party’s 2024 presidential candidate.

It’ll be interesting to see how Trump responds to being tossed overboard by Murdoch and Fox.

Fox News Accuses The Biden Administration Of Being ‘Too Pro-Christmas’

For years, Fox News and others on the right have suggested that liberals and progressives are antagonistic to anything religious or sacred, even going so far as to declare that there’s a “War on Christmas.”

Now, however, it seems Fox has decided that the Biden White House is “too pro-Christmas” and is overlooking Thanksgiving, according to Alex Henderson of AlterNet.

At 6 PM on Monday, November 21, Fox News announced its “all-American Christmas tree lighting.” But only four later, on far-right host Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show, “The Ingraham Angle,” the following words appeared on the screen: “Biden White House Jumps the Gun on Christmas.”

Twitter quickly reminded Fox of their enormous hypocrisy.

Hannity Wants To Know Who Predicted A ‘Red Tsunami’ Midterm – Even Though It Was Him

Fox News host Sean Hannity is confounded by all the talk about why there was no “red tsunami” in this week’s midterm elections. After all, he insists, who was saying such a thing in the first place?

As it turns out, he was.

The Daily Beast notes that Hannity made his remarks about the results of the 2022 midterms on his show Wednesday.

“I can’t say for sure whether rumors of the red tsunami started because polls in almost every key race were within the margin of error, mostly only one or two points,” Hannity said at the top of his show Wednesday night. “The glowing predictions of a big red wave were frankly foolish. I have a rule in life: Never overpromise and underdeliver. You want to underpromise and overdeliver.”

And yet, here’s a tweet from the Fox host in January.

He also told former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer:

“All of the foundational issues are there for the Republicans to have a wave election.”

And Hannity used his show in recent weeks to hype others who were predicting a massive win for the GOP.

The former White House shadow chief-of-staff and longtime Trump confidant had used his show in recent months to boost influential conservative voices and GOP candidates relentlessly promising a red wave on the horizon.

“I think it’s going to be a great night,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich beamed last week, predicting Republicans would gain as many as 44 House and five Senate seats.

There’s also this supercut of all the times Sean said he expected that Congress would soon be controlled by Republicans:

Of course, none of this should surprise anyone. Fox and its hosts constantly spread lies and conspiracy theories instead of reporting facts because that’s what their brainwashed viewers want to hear.

But when the bullshit comes back and hits Hannity and Fox square in the face, they just grin and try to act like they never said exactly what the video shows they did.

Fox Commentator Calls Midterm Results A ‘Searing Indictment’ Of The GOP

The predicted 2022 midterm election “red wave” we’ve been hearing about ever since President Joe Biden took the oath of office in January of 2021 fizzled out in humiliating fashion on Tuesday, with the Republicans still uncertain of whether or not they’ll control the House, and, even if they do, with a margin of just a few seats.

The Senate also appears headed for a 50-50 split or slim majority for Democrats once the race in Georgia between incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) and his GOP challenger, Herschel Walker, is decided in a runoff on December 6.

Just how bad was the midterm for Republicans? So much that Fox News political commentator Marc Thiessen is declaring it “an absolute disaster” and an indictment of the GOP, their message, and their candidates.

Thiessen sounded a warning for Republicans, noting:

“We have the worst inflation in four decades, the worst collapse in real wages in 40 years, the worst crime wave since the 1990s, the worst border crisis in U.S. history. We have Joe Biden, who is the least popular president since Harry Truman — since presidential polling happened — and there wasn’t a red wave. That is a searing indictment of the Republican Party. That is a searing indictment of the message that we have been sending to the voters. They looked at all of that and looked at the Republican alternative and said ‘no thanks.'”

Despite some conservatives attempting to put a happy face on the election results, Thiessen made it clear 2022 will go down in history as a debacle for the Republican Party.

“The Republican Party needs to do a really deep introspection, look in the mirror right now, because this is an absolute disaster for the Republican Party, and we need to turn back. We need to look at who won today: Ron DeSantis, (Mike) DeWine. These governors. (Brian) Kemp, Abbott. Look at these governors. This is the path to the future. And electing these radical candidates who ran far behind them has put the Republican Party in a terrible position. And voters have indicted the Republican Party.”

Thiessen’s call for DeSantis, DeWine, Kemp, and Abbott to be the “path to the future” is also problematic for the GOP because all of them are far right extremists who want to jail women that have an abortion. If Republicans nominate any of them in 2024, they’re likely to lose again. That’s good news for the country but a political obituary for the GOP.

Dark Brandon Swats Down Fox’s Peter Doocy And Twitter Applauds With Delight

Thinking he could trip up President Joe Biden with a loaded question, Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy tried on Wednesday to make Biden choose which item he felt was the “top domestic issue” as the midterm elections approach: Abortion or inflation.

But Biden, in full Dark Brandon mode, swatted down Doocy and gave him a lesson in governing, telling him:

“They’re all important. Unlike you, there’s no one thing. It crosses the board. They’re all important. And we oughta be able to walk and chew gum at the same time.”

For those who aren’t familiar with the “Dark Brandon” phenomenon, HuffPost explains:

“Dark Brandon” is the meme-worthy nickname that’s turned what was once an insult into shorthand for a feisty president willing to fight back.

This isn’t the first time Biden has put Doocy in his place. The two have sparred before, CNBC notes:

President Joe Biden called Fox News White House reporter Peter Doocy “a stupid son of a bitch” Monday on a live microphone, after Doocy asked Biden whether inflation was a political liability for him.

The verbal slip took place during a White House event on Biden administration efforts to combat inflation. After the president complained that all the press questions were about the military buildup around Ukraine, Doocy shouted: “Will you take questions about inflation? Do you think inflation is a political liability ahead of the midterms?”

Thinking his microphone was turned off, Biden responded sarcastically: “No, that’s a great asset. More inflation.”

He added, “What a stupid son of a bitch.”

It should be noted that the president later apologized for what he called Doocy.

Twitter users were delighted to see Dark Brandon make a comeback and remind Fox and its viewers that Democrats can indeed do two things at the same time, which is what governing is all about.
