Trump Wanted People To Die On Jan. 6 So He Could Declare Martial Law And Stay In Office: Report

While failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump was desperate to stay in office long beyond January 20, 2022, could it be that he was also an accessory to murder so he could accomplish that goal?

A former Trump staffer said Thursday after the House Select Committee ended its hearings by subpoenaing the ex-president that he believes he knows exactly how Donald expected to carry out his plan of remaining president.

Miles Taylor, who served in the Department of Homeland Security during the Trump administration, said during an appearance on MSNBC that the latest hearing made an impact:

“It made my heart race to watch today’s hearing, really, because they brought up Trump’s mindset, and the question was, what was his mindset? I’m going to demystify that for America right now. I’ve spent time with the guy in the Oval Office, the White House situation room, and Air Force One. I’ll tell you what his mindset was on January 6th.”

Taylor continued:

“I believe Donald Trump wanted people to die. He wanted people to die who were elected officials, en masse, so he could call out the military, so he could invoke the Insurrection Act, so he could prevent the peaceful transfer of power. That’s not a conspiracy theory. In fact, in hindsight, it’s pretty damn clear to me this is what he had in mind from day one in office.”

Taylor then explained that he once wondered why Trump steadfastly refused to condemn right-wing domestic extremist groups, and it finally hit him one day:

“Why did he make excuses for domestic terrorist groups? Because he was on their side.”

The former DHS official added:

“We saw in testimony the other week in courts that the January 6th plotters knew they were engaging in an insurrection, an armed insurrection. That’s what they intended. And we have people, extremists … two hops away from the president of the United States who were planning on making that happen. He wanted people to die on January 6th so that he could use those presidential powers to prevent our democracy from transitioning to a new president. And I think the committee presented that in extremely powerful passion.”

Infantile Trump Has A Social Media Meltdown After The 1/6 Committee Subpoenas Him

It’s been an especially crappy day for disgraced, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump.

First, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear his appeal for an intervention on the special master appointed to look at documents seized from Mar-a-Lago in August.

An order from the high court was handed down that read:

“The application to vacate the stay entered by the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit on September 21, 2022, presented to Justice [Clarence] Thomas and by him referred to the Court is denied.”

Even his old buddy Clarence Thomas couldn’t save him.

Later in the afternoon, the House Select Committee investigating the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol voted unanimously to subpoena the ex-president for testimony regarding his role in the insurrection.

According to The Washington Post:

The House committee investigating the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, voted Thursday to subpoena testimony and documents from former president Donald Trump, a dramatic culmination of its year-and-a-half-long investigation, and a sign that the committee wants to continue its work beyond this Congress.

This is a question about accountability to the American people,” Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-Miss.) said ahead of the vote. “He must be accountable.”

The unanimous vote came at the end of a meeting that also revealed new details about warnings from the Secret Service that armed supporters of Trump would go to the Capitol, with one agent describing that morning as the “calm before the storm.”

That was all it took to trigger Donnie in a major way. But since he’s banned from Twitter and Facebook, he had to settle for a meltdown on his failing Truth Social site, which is reportedly on the verge of a complete financial collapse.

“Why didn’t the Unselect Committee ask me to testify months ago? Why did they wait until the very end, the final moments of their last meeting? Because the Committee is a total “BUST” that has only served to further divide our Country which, by the way, is doing very badly – A laughing stock all over the World?”

That was followed by this one:

“The Unselect Committee knowingly failed to examine the massive voter fraud which took place during the 2020 Presidential Election – The reason for what took place on January 6th.”

And that was followed by an attempt to blame others for Jan. 6, even though he and his ragtag bunch of would-be revolutionaries are the ones solely responsible for what took place:

“Why didn’t Crazy Nancy Pelosi call out the ‘troops’ before January 6th, which I strongly recommended that she do. It was her responsibility, but she ‘didn’t like the look.’ Crazy Nancy failed the American People!”

He’s scared. He realizes everything is falling apart.

Whiny Capitol Rioters Demand They Be Transferred To Prison At Guantanamo Bay

Some of the people who allegedly took part in the January 6, 2021 riots at the U.S. Capitol are now demanding that they be transferred to the military prison at Guantanamo Bay because they claim they’ll be treated better there.

According to Vice News, the prisoners are part of what’s known as the “Patriot Wing.”

Thirty-four detainees who are either awaiting trial or serving sentences in connection with the violent riot at the Capitol signed a letter re-asserting their outrage over the conditions in the federal correctional facility in Washington, D.C. They include standard complaints from American jails, like mold in showers, rust in the water, mice and cockroaches. The letter also rattles off more unusual criticisms like “Critical Race Theory” or “Re-education” propaganda on the tablets provided to inmates, being mocked by jail staff with Kamala Harris-related attire, or receiving punishment for expressing “any political views whatsoever.”

Guantanamo Bay, the alleged rioters assert, provides “nutritional meals” and “top-notch medical care” and is “respectful of religious requirements.”

Gitmo, they write, would be preferable to “remaining trapped within the wretched confines of cruel and unusual punishment of the D.C. jail.”

“We hereby request to spend our precious and limited days, should the government continue to insist on holding us captive unconstitutionally as pre-trial detainees, to be transferred and reside at Guantanamo Bay,” the letter reads.

Of course, what the prisoners fail to mention is that the very reason they’re currently incarcerated is because they took part in criminal acts and attempted to overthrow the elected government of the United States, which makes them domestic terrorists, and even Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) called the insurrection a “terrorist attack.” Proving his immense cowardice, Cruz later recanted, saying his remarks were “sloppy” and “frankly dumb,” during an appearance on Fox News.

While the rioters are certainly worthy of being treated like the terrorists they are, they don’t deserve to name where they should be housed while awaiting trial. If they have a problem with bad food, mold, and roaches, they should have stayed home on Jan. 6 instead of taking part in an illegal act.

January 6 Investigation Likely To Continue Even If GOP Wins The House – Here’s How

Even if Republicans do manage to win control of the House of Representatives in the upcoming midterm elections, the ongoing investigation of what took place on January 6, 2021 will continue, according to a member of the House Select Committee looking into the attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Committee member Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) said Sunday during an appearance on “Meet the Press” that work will indeed proceed to determine exactly who played what role in the insurrection, which left five people dead. Evidence is being preserved so that others can continue the work of the committee

Raskin was asked by host Chuck Todd:

“So if the Democrats hold the Senate though, you’ll know this in December? If Democrats hold the Senate or if Democrats lose the House, do you send your investigative materials over to the Judiciary Committee and Dick Durbin?”

Raskin:

“Well, we’re going to make sure that our investigative materials are made public and are available for the future. And we’re going to preserve them. We’re not going to allow them to be destroyed.”

That led Todd to inquire:

“But it’s my understanding, the investigation, I’m told you’ve got so much evidence that you can’t finish this up by the end of the calendar year. You do need more time. The president could create a committee by executive order to finish this job. And Liz Cheney’s not going to be in Congress, maybe she’s one of the co-chairs. Do you do that to preserve this investigation?”

The congressman replied:

“Look. It would have been a lot better, had Donald Trump essentially not gotten the Republicans in the House to veto the creation of an independent, 9/11-style commission. But we’re going to make sure that all of the evidence is preserved. But the main thing is this coming Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. And in our report, we want America to understand there was a premeditated and deliberate hit on American democracy in attempt to override the will of the people. And the forces that supported that are still out there and would gladly do it again. And a lot of them are running for high offices, like Mastriano in Pennsylvania. These are people who are election-deniers who are committed basically to their party winning, regardless of who actually won the election.”

Despite their pledge to end the probe of what transpired on Jan. 6, it’s now clear that Republicans will be powerless to do so. The Senate can take up the case and follow through on the House’s work. President Biden can also appoint a commission that would do so. That means more damaging evidence will be available to the public, which is a serious threat to both the GOP and Donald Trump.

White House Switchboard Called A Capitol Rioter During January 6 Attack: Report

A senior adviser to the House Select Committee investigating the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol has revealed that on the day of the riots, the White House switchboard called a rioter as the attack was taking place.

Denver Riggleman, who served as a senior technical adviser to the Jan. 6 panel, told 60 Minutes correspondent Bill Whitaker:

“You get a real ‘a-ha’ moment when you see that the White House switchboard had connected to a rioter’s phone while it’s happening. That’s a big, pretty big ‘a-ha’ moment.”

Riggleman, a former GOP congressman from the state of Virginia who also served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force, added:

“I only know one end of that call. I don’t know the White House end, which I believe is more important. But the thing is the American people need to know that there are link connections that need to be explored more.”

What remains to be seen, Riggleman noted, is who exactly in the White House reached out to a rioter right as the Capitol was under violent attack, and what that individual was trying to communicate:

“From my perspective…being in counterterrorism. If the White House, even if it’s a short call, and it’s a connected call, who is actually making that phone call?”

That led Whitaker to inquire:

“Is there a simple, innocent explanation for that?”

Riggleman:

“Was it an accidental call? When the White House just happened to call numbers that somebody misdialed a rioter that day, on January 6th? Probably not.”

CBS News also notes that the House Select Committee has done extensive research on communications during the fateful events of Jan. 6 which resulted in the deaths of five people, including a member of the U.S. Capitol Police:

The call was uncovered after Riggleman assembled a small team of data miners and analysts for the committee to comb through 20 million lines of data: emails, social media posts, phone records, and texts, to learn who did what leading up to and on January 6th.

“We were able to do things, I think, in a way that had never been done before with millions of lines of data,” Riggleman said. “And to actually create a graph that shows how these groups actually intermingled.”

Among those groups, Riggleman explained, were “Trump team, Trump family, rally goers, unaffiliated DOJ-charged defendants, Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, and others, which are state legislators, alternate electors, things like that.”

The House Select Committee resumes its hearings on September 28.
