First things first, and then I’ll move on: Sarah Palin is a freaking idiot who thinks no one will fact check anything she posts on the Internet.
In her latest pathetic attempt to remain relevant and also push the candidacy of Donald Trump, Sister Sarah took to Facebook and posted this bit of nonsense:
First of all, comparing a billionaire predatory businessman to Mahatma Gandhi is the ultimate insult to the memory of the great man who advocated for civil disobedience as a way of changing government policy.
And secondly, Gandhi never said or wrote any such thing! The quote is actually attributed to trade unionist Nicholas Klein while speaking to workers in Baltimore:
“First they ignore you. Then they ridicule you. And then they attack you and want to burn you. And then they build monuments to you. And that, is what is going to happen to the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America.”
But of course Palin couldn’t possibly want to quote a labor organizer, because she sees such people as radicals and communists who tried to get rights for workers who were being forced to perform their duties in sweatshops for meager wages 18-20 hours a day.
Social media let the half-term quitter from Wasilla, Alaska, have it online:
“LOL! Gandhi rejected wealth and materialism. Doesn’t exactly mesh with Trump’s lifestyleGandhi was also non-violent. Trump was just inciting and promoting violence.”
“No. You can NOT compare Gandhi and Trump. Stop supporting this man. He is NOT worthy of your support, admiration, or your time. Please support an actual conservative Republican that has a moral code.”
A moral code? Don’t make me laugh! Palin and Trump are two of a kind: Grifters who are in it for what they can get out of it. If they destroy others (or the country) in the process, it doesn’t matter as long as they make a bundle doing so.
Disgusting is a word that comes to mind when I think of Sarah Palin. And that applies even more so to Trump.
