Congress Fox News Joe Biden U.S. Senate WTF?!

Bartiromo Attacks GOP Senator For Failing To Stop Biden Infrastructure Deal: ‘Democrats Are Winning!’

Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo had an on-air meltdown Sunday during an interview with Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), whom she accused of not doing enough to block passage of President Joe Biden’s $1.1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill, which was approved by the Senate this week with an overwhelming 69-31 vote. 19 of those 69 votes came from GOP senators.

Blackburn said the administration is weak, telling Bartiromo:

“This administration is weak on every front. Whether it is the out-of-control spending or whether it is misplaced priorities, this is a weak president. It is an administration that is not focused. They are not prioritizing what the American people want to see.”

That’s when the Fox host lit into Blackburn:

“You’re right! The list does go on,” Bartiromo said. “But, Senator, with all due respect, if they’re so weak, why are they beating you? OK? The bottom line is the Democrats are winning. And we are about to see a major Green New Deal thanks to your colleagues. Mitch McConnell the other day praised President Biden for doing bipartisan work!

“What’s going on with the Republicans?. You’ve gotten nothing out of this, except to say, yeah, we worked with our colleagues on the left. But they don’t say that — we’ve worked with our colleagues on the right. They don’t care if you’re there or not!

“So if they are so weak, why are they beating you and your colleagues?”

The senator weakly responded:

“We’re pushing back on this. The good thing is the American people are beginning to push back with us.”

Actually, the American people, in poll after poll, overwhelmingly said they supported the infrastructure bill. And GOP senators supported it because it has something for every state in the country, with billions for constructing roads and bridges, and expanding broadband internet access. The legislation is a win-win no matter how you look at it.

Democrats are winning because their ideas and plans are popular with the voters.

Republicans, on the other hand, have nothing but whining, complaints, and obstruction to offer, and that’s why they’re winding up on the short end of the stick.
