Attorney For Rittenhouse Says Don Jr. Is An ‘Idiot’ For Wanting To Send His Client An AR-15

Much like his father, Donald Trump Jr. is known for making moronic statements that come back to bite him on the butt. And that’s most certainly the case with a suggestion Junior made about sending an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle to acquitted Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse.

In a since-deleted tweet, Don Jr. wrote:

“Gun Owners of America is sending Kyle Rittenhouse an AR-15. Sign the card in support of Kyle. Americans have a fundamental right to defend themselves and to keep and bear arms. The verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial is a recognition of those rights.”

Mark Richards, an attorney who represented Rittenhouse, told Insider that he thinks right-wing figures who are trying to make buck off his client are disgusting:

“There’s a lot of people trying to profit on this, and I don’t think people should.

“They’re raising money on it and you have all these Republican congressmen saying come work for me. They want to trade on his celebrity and I think it’s disgusting.”

As for Don Jr. specifically, Richards noted:

“He’s an idiot. I don’t have to expand on that because it speaks for itself.”

Junior’s daddy, however, thought it was a good idea to invite Rittenhouse to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, so he could associate himself with someone who shot protesters and then claimed self-defense.

After the visit with Rittenhouse, the failed, one-term ex-president had this to say:

“He came over with his mother. Really a nice young man. … That was prosecutorial misconduct. He should have not have had to suffer through a trial for that. He was going to be dead.”

Of course, for some time now we’ve known that Trump family is nothing but a collection of grifters, con men, and opportunists who love to attach their names to anything that will keep them in the public consciousness because the thing they fear most of all is being irrelevant.

Idiot is an apt description of Junior, an overgrown adolescent who has never worked a day in his life, cheated on the mother of his children, and is little more than an annoyance, like a housefly or a cockroach.

Maybe we need to send a can of Raid to Don Jr.
