ABC Host Proves Bobby Jindal’s Syria Plan Is Nonsense With Four Simple Words (Video)

Bobby Jindal doesn’t seem to know it, so I suppose it falls on me to tell him the truth: Bobby, you are never ever gonna be President, and the more you tell us all how you would solve the biggest problems facing the United States abroad, the clearer it becomes that not only are you not ready for prime time, but you’re not even ready to sit at the kiddie table for dinner.

Appearing on ABC’s This Week, Jindal suggested that the way to fight ISIS and solve the problems in Syria is to create no-fly zones in Syria. That plan was shot down in flames by four words from host Martha Raddatz:

“ISIS doesn’t have aircraft.”

Jindal also said a part of his plan is to train Syrian rebel groups to fight ISIS. Raddatz correctly countered with this:

“That has been a complete failure. The Obama administration said, essentially, that it wasn’t working.”

The Louisiana Governor attempted to recover by asserting:

“The reality is that they’ve dithered, they’ve waited so long that we’ve got fewer good options. If they’d have aggressively trained those rebels in the beginning, if they had armed and trained the Kurds, we’d be in a different place.”

Again, Raddatz was ready to remind Jindal of these facts:

“But how do you train rebels who are there to fight [Syrian President Bashar al-Assad] to suddenly want to fight ISIS?. That’s the main problem with those Syrian rebels.”

That’s when Jindal tried to extricate himself from the hole he was digging by proposing the no-fly zones, claiming we need to:

“Create a no-fly zone working with our Turkish and other allies.”

Raddatz:

“Let’s talk about a no-fly zone. ISIS doesn’t have aircraft. So what would that no-fly zone really accomplish? When has it really worked?”

Governor Jindal blathered out that a no-fly would “stabilize the region so you don’t have all these refugees flooding into Europe and trying to leave the country.” And then he added this incredibly obvious statement:

“These are radical Islamic terrorists that are burning people alive, crucifying, killing Christians and other religious minorities. We have to hunt them down and kill them before they attack us here.”

And Raddatz asked the question Jindal had managed to overlook:

“You don’t think that’s what they’re doing now? We’ve had thousands and thousands of airstrikes. ISIS is not a traditional army. The reason — and I’ve been out on an aircraft carrier, I have seen those jets coming back with their bombs still attached. Because they can’t drop bombs in congested areas. They can’t risk killing innocent civilians in those areas.”

Game, set. and match, Governor Jindal. Time to head on back to Louisiana and grab a big bowl of gumbo. At least when you’re chewing you can’t say anything stupid. And that itself is a blessing, wouldn’t you agree?
