Marjorie Taylor Greene Whines That Removing Her From The Midterm Ballot Will ‘Destroy Democracy’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is angry that she may be kept off the midterm ballot for being an insurrectionist, so she’s blaming everyone but herself and whining that if she isn’t allowed to run, it will “destroy democracy.”

Speaking with right-wing host Jeremy Herrell of Real America’s Voice, Greene remarked:

“I need people’s support. They’re coming after me. They just filed a lawsuit against me last week to try to actually remove my name off the ballot! You talk about destroying democracy, these Democrats, they are seriously trying to destroy democracy by filing a lawsuit to remove my name off the ballot and taking away my district’s ability to vote for me again.”

What Greene neglected to mention is that a clause in the 14th Amendment of the Constitution allows for anyone who has engaged in an insurrection or rebellion against the United States to be excluded from running for office.

Greene then added:

“That is destroying democracy! And that is the most evil thing these people could do. They’re so arrogant. They want to take away my district’s right to vote for me. That’s how much they hate the people of my district and look down on them because they’ve tried to shame me in the media and make me into someone I’m not.”

The congresswoman also proved that she’s all about the grift, begging for donations to her campaign “because I’m going to have to pay attorneys to fight for this.”

Boo freaking hoo! Margie should have thought of all that before she urged on the rioters and defended them in the months after the attack on the Capitol. To hear her tell it, no one did anything wrong and the Justice Department is persecuting the rioters simply because they’re Trump supporters.

Much like the failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president Marjorie Greene is so full of shit that her eyes must be brown.

Justice Department Plans To Hire 80 New Attorneys For January 6 Investigation: Report

The Justice Department is preparing to hire 80 new attorneys at a cost of $34 million, and the department’s request for additional funding to cover those DOJ attorneys has some saying the agency is on the verge of something very big.

Jennifer Rubin of the Washington Post notes that the 80 additional lawyers at DOJ will be assigned to the ongoing investigation of the January 6, 2021 Capitol insurrection.

Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco had this to say at a press briefing on Monday:

“The Jan. 6 investigation is among the most wide-ranging and most complex that this department has ever undertaken. It reaches nearly every U.S. attorney’s office, nearly every FBI field office.

“Regardless of whatever resources we seek or get, let’s be very, very clear: We are going to continue to do those cases. We are going to hold those perpetrators accountable, no matter where the facts lead us, [and] as the attorney general has said, no matter at what level. We will do those cases.”

That pledge, Rubin writes, is very bad news for failed, one-term former President Donald Trump and others:

The funding request and Monaco’s vow to pursue culprits “no matter at what level” suggest that Justice Department investigators will continue to follow the chain upward from the insurrection participants and planners to those in the previous administration who set out to overturn the election, including Trump. Still, the absence of any indication that Justice Department lawyers are questioning higher-level personnel leaves many wondering: What is the department up to, and what will it do with all the resources it is seeking?

Among the possibilities for those new staffers at the Justice Department:

  • Questioning members of Congress who have refused to cooperate with the Jan. 6 committee so far. That can easily be done with a grand jury, subpoenas, and forcing the recalcitrant lawmakers to testify under oath
  • Working up the chain of command, wherever it leads, including to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) who we now know was eager to help Trump overturn the results of the 2020 election
  • Arranging immunity deals for former Trump administration staffers who have knowledge key to the investigation but might be tempted to plead the Fifth unless they’re assured they won’t do any time for their part in the attempted coup

The time has come to hold everyone who tried to subvert this country’s democracy accountable, no matter how exalted their title might be.

Donald Trump Joe Biden Russia Vladimir Putin WTF?!

Trump Calls On Vladimir  Putin To ‘Release’ Any Dirt He Might Have On Biden

On July 27, 2016, Donald Trump held a press conference in Florida and urged Russia to commit a criminal act against this Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton:

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

As a result of that and other issues connected to Russia and Ukraine, Trump was impeached.

And yet the failed, one-term former president is once again urging Russia to release any dirt they might have on the current President of the United States, Joe Biden.

Mediaite reports that Trump made his remarks in an interview with John Solomon:

In an interview with Just the News founder John Solomon published on Tuesday, Trump reiterated his unproven claim that Yelena Baturina, a Russian oligarch and the wife of former Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov, gave $3.5 million to a business that Hunter Biden, a son of Joe Biden, helped found.

“She gave him $3.5 million so now I would think Putin would know the answer to that. I think he should release it. I think we should know that answer.

“How is it that the mayor of Moscow, his wife gave the Biden family three and a half million dollars? I think Putin now would be willing to probably give that answer. I’m sure he knows.”

The twice-impeached loser also claimed that he had strengthened the NATO alliance:

“I’m the best thing that ever happened to NATO, because I made them pay. So NATO has plenty of money now.”

At least Trump is consistent when it comes to some matters. He’s always been a traitor and he still is.

WATCH President Biden Slap Down Peter Doocy For Requesting Details About US Military Policy Toward Russia

During a Q&A session with the White House press corps on Monday, President Joe Biden was asked by Fox reporter Peter Doocy for details about how the United States military would respond to actions such as the use of chemical weapons by Russian forces, and he got resoundingly slapped down by the president.

Doocy asked Biden:

“When you said that a chemical weapon use by Russia would trigger a response in kind…”

The president corrected Doocy:

“It would trigger a significant response.”

The Fox correspondent then followed up:

“What does that mean?”

That’s when the president took Doocy to the woodshed:

“I’m not going to tell you. Why would I tell you? You’ve gotta be silly!”

Doocy:

“The world wants to know.”

But Biden was more than ready for that comeback:

“The world wants to know a lot of things. I’m not telling them what the response would be. Then Russia knows the response.”

Ted Cruz Under Investigation For Coordinating January 6 Coup Attempt With Trump: Report

On the evening of December 8, 2021, Sen. Ted Cruz received an urgent call from then-President Donald Trump.

Trump notified Cruz that a lawsuit had been filed with the U.S. Supreme Court that would overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, and the president wanted to know if Cruz would agree to argue the case before the high court.

Cruz responded:

“Sure, I’d be happy to.”

For the next two months, according to Michael Kranish of The Washington Post, Cruz began “leading the charge” to try and guarantee that Joe Biden was never certified as the 46th President of the United States:

An examination by The Washington Post of Cruz’s actions between Election Day and Jan. 6, 2021, shows just how deeply he was involved, working directly with Trump to concoct a plan that came closer than widely realized to keeping him in power. As Cruz went to extraordinary lengths to court Trump’s base and lay the groundwork for his own potential 2024 presidential bid, he also alienated close allies and longtime friends who accused him of abandoning his principles.

Cruz’s actions — especially his coordination with Trump attorney John Eastman — have drawn the attention of the House Select Committee on the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection, and could result in the Texas Republican being referred to the Justice Department for criminal charges.

While the committee knew about Eastman’s attempts to interfere in certification of the 2020 vote, Cruz’s role has only recently come to light:

On Jan. 2, 2021, Cruz unveiled his plan for states to start an “emergency 10-day audit,”backed by 10 other senators. The idea was met with ridicule even from some of Trump’s most vociferous supporters. “Proposing a commission at this late date — which has zero chance of becoming reality — is not effectively fighting for President Trump,” Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) said on Twitter. The conservative magazine National Review lambasted the idea in an article headlined: “The Folly of the Cruz Eleven.”

All of this has put Cruz squarely in the center of the Jan. 6 committee’s recent efforts to better understand the actions of various people who were hellbent on making sure Trump remained in office no matter what the final ballot totals showed.

The Jan. 6 committee has asked a number of people about the senator’s actions in the lead-up to the insurrection. Among the questions the committee may address is whether Cruz talked with Trump or the president’s lawyers and aides as the events unfolded on Jan. 6.

Cruz, who initially agreed to answer questions from The Post about his role in the events leading up to the Capitol riots, later refused to comment:

Cruz, after initially agreeing to an interview with The Post at his Senate office, canceled shortly before it was to begin and declined to speak to a reporter. The Post then submitted a lengthy set of written questions, only some of which were addressed directly by Cruz’s spokeswoman.

Asked whether Cruz had communicated in any way with Eastman about challenging the election, the senator’s spokeswoman, Maria Jeffrey Reynolds, did not respond directly.

Only guilty people refuse to answer questions about their actions. And it certainly sounds like Sen. Cruz has enough guilt in the failed election coup to merit him being required to answer questions under oath.
