Trump’s Longtime Accounting Firm Says His Financial Statements Are Bogus

Donald Trump and the Trump Organization’s longtime accounting firm has dropped him as a client because they say statements of his financial condition cannot be “relied upon.”

CNBC reports the news came in a court filing on Monday:

The accounting firm Mazars has fired the Trump Organization as a client after saying that a decade’s worth of statements of ex-President Donald Trump’s financial condition “should no longer be relied upon,” the New York Attorney General’s office revealed in a court filing Monday.

Mazars, which for years prepared Trump’s income tax returns and financial statements used to obtain loans for his company, told the Trump Organization’s top lawyer Alan Garten that it would no longer represent the company due to the lack of reliability of the financial statements in a letter last Wednesday.

The letter was cited by AG Letitia James’ office on Monday as it asked a state judge to order the Trump Organization, Donald Trump Jr. and his sister Ivanka Trump, and others to comply with subpoenas seeking documents and testimony.

Mazars also noted in their letter:

The firm said it based on its decision about the past work’s reliability, “as well as the totality of circumstances, we have also reached the point such that there is a non-waivable conflict of interest with the Trump Organization.”

The information from the accounting firm would seem to confirm accusations made against the Trump Organization that Trump and his company have repeatedly inflated the value of their assets in order to obtain larger loans which they then devalued when it came time to pay taxes.

Attorney Luppe B. Luppen had this to say about the move by Mazars:

“The determination by Mazars that Trump’s financial statements over a full decade are not reliable through no fault of its own amounts to a declaration that it has been repeatedly misled by its client.”

Donald Trump Jr’s Super Bowl Halftime Rant Video Has People Saying He Needs A Stint In Rehab

In his latest attempt to appear marginally relevant, Donald Trump Jr. only succeeded in proving that needs an extended stay in rehab.

The video Don Jr. posted on social media is an extended, fact-free rant in which he tries to connect journalist Bob Woodward, Hillary Clinton, Watergate, and a number of other completely unrelated subjects in an attempt to prove that his father was spied on and should be reinstated to the presidency.

Here, take a look:

Those who have used drugs and/or alcohol will immediately recognize the warning signs from Junior’s video: The half-mast eyelids. The staccato speech pattern. The failure to make even a whit of sense.

On social media, nearly everyone was universal in their suggestion that Don Jr. get himself to rehab and stop using air quotes since he clearly doesn’t know how to.

The good news for Junior is they have drug rehab in prison.

Super Bowl Viewers Hilariously Trolled Trump With Multiple Versions Of The Same Joke

The Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday evening to win Super Bowl LVI by a score of 23-20.

But did the Rams actually win? That was the question many Twitter users facetiously asked after the game ended.

Using failed, one-term former President Donald Trump’s fuzzy logic, people across the country began zinging the ex-president with multiple variations of the same joke about how it’s not really a loss if you can get former Vice President Mike Pence to say otherwise. Take a look:

Enraged Trump Denies He Flushed Documents Down The Toilet: ‘Who Would Know That?!’

During a Saturday morning phone-in interview with the hosts of “Fox & Friends,” failed, one-term, twice-impeached former President Donald Trump denied a report from Maggie Haberman of the New York Times that he had flushed documents down toilets at the White House while he was still in office, but offered zero proof to rebut what Haberman claimed.

Co-host Will Cain teed up the subject for the loser ex-president:

“There’s a national conversation that seems to be completely out of touch with the American people at every step of the way, and I think one of those examples might be the latest obsession President Trump, which is, again, and always seemingly about you. Maggie Haberman of the New York Times has a book out she has been discussing on CNN and the other platforms. The big take away is that you have ripped up papers and flushed them down the toilet. What is your reaction on what you’re hearing on other mainstream media channels in this book by Maggie Haberman?”

Rather than use facts to counter Haberman, Trump turned to his usual rhetoric about “fake news” and how everything it the fault of the media:

“Yeah it’s fake news and she’s a fake writer. She got a Pulitzer Prize for Russia, Russia, Russia, and then they found out it was a hoax. And so did others. Frankly the ones that get Pulitzer Prizes they happen to work around you and around Pete. And I will tell you, it’s a disgrace.”

The Russia story, it should be noted, was NOT a hoax. Several members of the Trump 2016 campaign were in close touch with Russian nationals and had in-person meetings to obtain “dirt” on Hillary Clinton.

Trump then focused in on Haberman’s upcoming book, Confidence Man (which is the perfect title for a book about Con Man Don), which you can rest assured he wouldn’t read even if he had an advance copy:

“But, no, it’s a totally false story. She made it up. I don’t believe they have sources. Who is going to be a source for that anyway? Who would know that? There is no source. They make it up. You know, they oftentimes, these fake writers like her, they act like they know me like she knows me. I haven’t spoken to her in a very, very long time. She knows me no better than any other writer. They write books like they know and then they make things like that up. There would be no way of her knowing if it were the fact. There would be no way of her understanding that or knowing it. But it’s a totally fake story made up by her.”

There was also the obligatory attempt by the failed former president to blame every problem in the world on the news media:

“As much of the news is, I will tell you, this country we have to get honest reporting. Because if we don’t get honest reporting. It’s really leading us down a bad path. And it’s really leading us down a path of anger.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaKxg06zzrE

Where exactly are we supposed to get that “honest reporting”? From Fox? Even Fox admits its hosts shouldn’t be taken seriously.

Is Newsmax “honest reporting”? Hardly! What about One America News (OAN)? All they do is push one conspiracy theory after another.

Want to know how you can tell the revelation of Toiletgate from Haberman is true? You need look no further than the anger coming from Trump and his surrogates in response to the report.

Melania Trump Under Investigation For Operating A Fraudulent Charity: Report

Former First Lady Melania Trump is under investigation for selling tickets to an event scheduled in April with proceeds going to a charity that doesn’t appear to exist, according to the New York Times.

“Mrs. Trump is now selling tickets to the April ‘high tea,’ with organizers saying that some of the profits will benefit an initiative of her ‘Be Best’ endeavor called ‘Fostering the Future,’ meant to provide computer-science scholarships to young people who have been in foster care.”

Though it remains unclear what portion of ticket sales will go directly to the former first lady, the bigger question is why her so-called “charity” hasn’t been registered, as is required by Florida law since Melania now lives in the Sunshine State:

“Florida requires any organization that raises charitable contributions in the state to register. No charity with the name ‘Fostering the Future’ or ‘Be Best’ is registered in Florida.

“Asked about the solicitation, officials at the Florida agency that oversees charitable fund-raising said they also could not find evidence of the required state registration and had opened an inquiry as a result.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time a member of the Trump family has been accused of using a charity for their own personal enrichment.

You probably recall that the state of New York forced the Donald J. Trump Foundation to be closed when it was discovered that donations had been diverted so the former president could buy things such as painted portraits of himself, as USA Today noted in November of 2019:

State Supreme Court Justice Saliann Scarpulla of Manhattan ruled on Thursday that Trump pay $2 million in damages to various nonprofit groups to settle allegations that he and his family used the Trump Foundation to further his political and business interests.

Though Trump admitted the misconduct in court documents, he issued a defiant statement in which he accused New York’s attorney general of mischaracterizing the settlement process for political purposes. Trump claimed he had been attacked by “political hacks in New York State.”

Clearly, Melania is just as big of a grifter as her husband. It’s no wonder they were so attracted to each other when they first met in 1998.
