Attorney For Jan. 6 Rioter: My Client Has Info About The ‘Kings And Queens’ Who Organized The Attack

An attorney for some of the rioters who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 is hinting that her clients are about to spill the beans on what she calls the “kings and queens” who organized the insurrection.

According to Politico, Heather Shaner, who represents several of the defendants who have been charged in connection with the Capitol riots, is helping the committee get a better picture of everyone who was involved in the violence:

Shaner also revealed that she helped connect the committee with another source — not one of her clients — who claimed to have information related to associates of Alex Jones, the far right broadcaster who helped promote pro-Trump election conspiracy theories.

Shaner told NBC News that her intent is to make sure her clients aren’t made to pay for the crimes of other, more senior members of the group that planned the attempted coup on the same day Congress was meeting to certify the Electoral College votes from last November’s election which was overwhelmingly won by President Joe Biden:

“We want to see the queens and kings prosecuted not the pawns.”

The Jan. 6 Select Committee has also been hearing testimony from others who have been charged with crimes connected to the insurrection, Politico notes:

The committee has been interviewing and collecting documents from those involved in planning the rallies, though it’s unclear if all of the depositions have gone forward. A deposition set for Friday with a former Justice Department official who aided Trump’s effort to overturn the election was postponed after he switched attorneys.

Several former Trump administration officials — i.e. Steve Bannon and former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows — have also been subpoenaed for documents and testimony regarding what if any role they may have played in the attack on the Capitol building. Despite the subpoena, Bannon is refusing to comply and has been charged by the Justice Department with criminal contempt of Congress.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Called Rep. Liz Cheney A ‘Karen’ – That Was A Big Mistake

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) walked into a hornet’s nest of her own creation Thursday after she tried to mock Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) for criticizing Fox News host Tucker Carlson and a special he’s done for the network which claims the Jan.6 attack at the U.S. Capitol was a “false flag,” planned and carried out by the federal government.

In response to Carlson’s recklessness, Cheney sent out this tweet:

Greene couldn’t resist taking a cheap shot at Cheney for daring to criticize Carlson:

As HuffPost notes, if anyone is deserving of the “Karen” moniker, it’s Greene:

Greene (who late night comedian Trevor Noah once dubbed “Osama Bin Karen”) has likened House mask mandates to the Holocaust, said she doesn’t believe in evolution, has pushed a conspiracy theory about Jewish space lasers starting wildfires in California and liked social media posts calling for the execution of prominent Democrats, which caused her to be stripped of her House committee assignments.

Others then joined the online debate, excoriating Greene and reminding her what a joke she is.

Donald Trump Racism The Trump Adminstration WTF?!

Former Aide Says Donald Trump Is ‘Obsessed’ With White Supremacists

During the final presidential debate during the 2020 race for the White House, then-President Donald Trump insisted that he wasn’t racist, remarking that he was the “least racist person in this room.”

That comment came during a discussion of the Black Lives Matter movement, which prompted Trump to say:

“You have to understand, the first time I ever heard of Black Lives Matter, they were chanting, ‘Pigs in a blanket,’ talking about police.

“That was my first glimpse of Black Lives Matter. I thought it was a terrible thing. As far as my relationships with all people, I think I have great relationships with all people.”

Of course, anyone with half a brain heard that and either shook their head or laughed because even Trump’s supporters know deep down in their hollow hearts Trump is one of the most bigoted people on the face of the planet.

And now we have confirmation of that in the person of Omarosa Manigault Newman, who, according to the Daily Mail, had this to say about Trump as part of the “Big Brother VIP” program:

“I was organizing the opening of a civil rights museum. He [Trump] was fascinated with the KKK (Ku Klux Klan) garb.

“He was obsessed with a white supremacist display. Who is this person?”

Omarosa’s comments shouldn’t surprise anyone that’s been paying attention, watching, and listening to Donald Trump over the years. After all, this is the man who was sued by the federal government during the Nixon administration because he and his company refused to rent apartments to African-Americans.

Consider these quotes from Trump about the people he refers to as “the blacks”:

  • “A well-educated black has a tremendous advantage over a well-educated white in terms of the job market. I think sometimes a black may think they don’t have an advantage or this and that… I’ve said on one occasion, even about myself, if I were starting off today, I would love to be a well-educated black, because I believe they do have an actual advantage.”
  • “Laziness is a trait in blacks.”

Donald Trump is one of the most racist people in the world. He tries to deny it, but his own words prove otherwise.

MTG Bought $50K Worth Of Stock In Trump’s New Social Media Site – And Quickly Lost A Fortune

Like so many in the Republican Party, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) believes failed, one-term, twice-impeached former President Donald Trump is infallible.

But blindly following the ex-president has just hit Greene right in the wallet, with an investment she made in the ex-president’s new social media platform, Truth Social, costing her several thousand dollars, according to CNBC:

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has invested up to $50,000 in the SPAC stock linked to former President Donald Trump’s planned social media platform.

According to a public disclosure, the Georgia Republican purchased a stake in Digital World Acquisition Corp., or DWAC, on Friday. The stake is worth at least $15,000 but no more than $50,000.

But based on DWAC’s price fluctuations and when Greene said she made her investment, on Friday, it’s almost certain she has lost money on the trade.

On Friday, DWAC opened at $118.80 a share and dipped as low as $67.96 a share. It ended Wednesday’s session at $64.89 a share. That means, at best, Greene has lost about 4.5% on her investment.

Imagine you bought a stock at almost $119 a share and then watched as it sank to approximately $65. How quickly would be be ready to dump the investment before you lost even more money?

Considering that Trump’s new venture also faces scrutiny from various federal regulatory agencies and financial institutions, it’s not even certain that Truth Social will ever get off the ground. Of course, if it doesn’t, Trump will still probably profit.

Truth Social is set to officially launch sometime in early 2022, but the wild ride the stock is on could delay or destroy those plans.

Trump Now Claims Bill Barr Stole The 2020 Election For Biden

Ever since he lost badly in the 2020 election to President Joe Biden, failed, one-term, twice-impeached former President Donald Trump has been spinning one conspiracy theory after another about why he was beaten so badly.

At first, you probably recall, Trump claimed that millions of votes had been counted two or three times, providing the margin of victory for Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

After that, Trump began targeting specific states, alleging massive fraud in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and other battleground states. However, no evidence of fraud was ever found, even though numerous recounts and audits were performed in those key states.

Now, however, proving that he truly has lost what was left of his already addled brain, Trump is blaming his former attorney general, William Barr, and the Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, for conspiring to deliver the state of Pennsylvania to Biden and Harris.

In a letter he wrote in response to a Wall Street Journal editorial which noted that Biden won the Keystone State by more than 80,000 votes, the ex-president went all-in on the tinfoil hat wearing craziness, asserting:

“Well actually, the election was rigged, which you, unfortunately, still haven’t figured out. Here are just a few examples of how determinative the voter fraud in Pennsylvania was.”

Going over a litany of already debunked claims about supposed “fraud” in Pennsylvania, Trump then turned to Barr and Zuckerberg:

“Attorney General Bill Barr ordered U.S. Attorney Bill McSwain to stand down and not investigate election irregularities. Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook poured over $17 million to interfere in the Pennsylvania election, including $5.5 million on ‘ballot processing equipment’ in Philadelphia and $552,000 for drop boxes where the voting pattern was not possible.”

Oh, and the Donald also managed to repeat a line about “phantom” voters casting ballots, a claim that was also made in Arizona but proven to be utterly incorrect when the Arizona audit was completed, along with a flourish of dementia that there were “numerous reports and sworn affidavits attested to poll watcher intimidation and harassment, many by brute force.”

Did Trump offer any proof his allegations? Of course not! He has nothing to support his claims, much the same way he never has any facts to back up the lies he tells about everything from the weather to how rich he is.

Since he’s convinced that his own hand-picked attorney general conspired against him, here’s hoping the current AG will indeed go after Trump and charge him with the many crimes he’s committed.
