Mike Pompeo Hit With Subpoena For Trying To Help Republicans Smear The Biden Family

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is in very hot water, and actions he apparently took to help benefit the reelection campaign of his boss, Donald Trump, have wound up getting him subpoenaed.


Politico reports that House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Eliot Engel (D-NY) issued a subpoena recently and accused the secretary of using State Department resources in an attempt to smear presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden. In a statement, Engel noted:

“Secretary Pompeo has turned the State Department into an arm of the Trump campaign and he’s not even trying to disguise it. After trying to stonewall virtually every oversight effort by the Foreign Affairs Committee in the last two years, Mr. Pompeo is more than happy to help Senate Republicans advance their conspiracy theories about the Bidens. I want to see the full record of what the department has sent to the Senate and I want the American people to see it too.”

Specifically, Pompeo’s office has turned over 16,080 pages of documents to Senate Republicans that involve the former vice president, his son, Hunter, and the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings.


The documents in question are part of a Senate GOP investigation being conducted by the Finance and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committees. They focus on an already debunked allegation that the Obama administration and VP Biden tried to have a Ukrainian prosecutor removed to forestall a probe of Hunter Biden and Burisma. The younger Biden served on Burisma’s board of directors, but no evidence of any wrongdoing has ever been brought forward by Republicans.


Instead, the Senate investigation of the Bidens is clearly meant to serve as a sort of payback for the impeachment of Trump, who was accused of attempting to extort Ukraine into giving him damaging information about the Bidens in exchange for military aid. And it is also meant to try and besmirch the name of Joe Biden, who is leading in virtually every poll when matched up against the incumbent president.

Once again, a member of the administration has been caught red-handed trying to help their boss cheat his way to a second term. But Congressional Democrats are pushing back and will not let Trump try and weasel his way back into office.

BUSTED: New Photo Appears To Provide Proof That Trump Wears Lifts In His Shoes

This has been a very bad week for Donald Trump, and as is usually the case, he has no one to blame but himself and his enormous vanity.


When he was visiting Texas on Wednesday, photos clearly showed that the president (or someone who works for him) had done a terrible job with his makeup, which only drew more attention to the fact that a 74-year-old man feels a need to wear makeup in the first place:

And now we have new photographic evidence from an interview Trump gave to Chris Wallace several days ago. One sharp-eyed person on Twitter took a close look at video of that interview and caught what appears to be evidence that the president does indeed wear lifts in his shoes to make him appear taller than he actually is. Take a look:


Why is the back half of Trump’s foot almost all the way out of his shoe? Very possibly because the lifts he wears elevates the foot in back and pushes it away from the shoe itself. Here’s another view:

And yes, that would also explain why Trump appears to be leaning forward when he stands. He is going forward; the lifts make him:

Donald Trump is incredibly insecure, and for good reason. He’s not capable of doing anything well other than boasting, lying, and insulting others to make himself feel less inadequate. In other words, he’s insecure about his height, which might be 6-1, but isn’t the 6-3 he claims. Again, pictures provide the evidence:

Little by little, all of Donald Trump’s secrets are coming to light. And that’s got to be a big worry for him, especially since he knows he has no accomplishments whatsoever that he can run on.

It’s no wonder this guy is such a miserable failure. After all, his entire life is a lie.

Kellyanne Conway’s Daughter Says On Twitter She Wants AOC To Adopt Her

Though she’s only 16 years old, Claudia Conway — who just so happens to be the daughter of Kellyanne Conway, who serves as counselor to the president — has some very strong opinions, and she often expresses them on social media.


As recently as June, Claudia came to public attention with her viral TikTok videos in which makes it clear she cannot stand Donald Trump and wishes she could do more to make sure he loses in November, according to Heavy:

“Conway has been active on her TikTok page, where she goes by the moniker, ShortFakeBlonde, to tell people to block her if they support Donald Trump. Conway has also asked her users to post one-star reviews on Trump organization owned businesses. In her bio section on TikTok, Conway writes, ‘It’s a great day to arrest Brett Hankinson, John Mattingly and Myles Cosgrove.’ That’s a reference to the three police officers who are accused of shooting Breonna Taylor dead in March 2020. On her Instagram page, Conway refers to herself as an ‘activist.’ In her bio section, Conway includes a link to a petition that demands justice for Breonna Taylor.”


And now the young Ms. Conway is back, this time on Twitter (Trump’s social media platform of choice), and she’s stirring the pot yet again, reminding voters that a ballot cast for a third party candidate is a vote for Trump:

But it was what Claudia posted next that drew the most attention:

Wow! That’s what you call savage! It’s probably safe to assume that Kellyanne read that last tweet and felt her head on the verge of exploding. After all, Kellyanne is one of the main reasons Donald Trump is president. And remarks she’s (and the president) have made in the past about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) — aka AOC — make it quite clear they aren’t exactly fans.

Looks like the resistance has a new member in its ranks.

Trump’s Campaign Appears To Have Given Up On Winning Michigan – Stops Buying Ads In The State

It appears that Donald Trump’s reelection campaign is already conceding the state of Michigan and its 16 electoral votes, pulling all ad spending out of the state and shifting resources to other key battlegrounds.


The Hill reports:

“Trump’s recent withdrawal from the airwaves in Michigan came as his campaign shifted advertising dollars to other battlegrounds like Iowa. The move was first reported on Wednesday by The New York Times. According to the Times’s report, Biden has more than tripled Trump’s TV ad spending in Michigan over the last month.”

Recent polls show Biden gaining significantly in the Wolverine State, where he holds an eight-point lead in the FiveThirtyEight polling average.


The Trump campaign does have advertising buys in place for Michigan for September, but the sudden move of not spending more in the state suggests that strategists believe it to be a lost cause.

Michigan — along with Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — were the main reason Trump narrowly won in 2016. If his campaign has to forego the state, they’ll have to find another state or states to compensate for the loss, and that also looks like it could be tricky for the president as he seeks a second term in office.


Other polling shows Trump is also behind in battleground states such as Arizona, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. He is either even or slightly behind Biden in what are usually reliably red states. Those include Georgia, North Carolina, and even Texas.

It’ll be interesting to see in the coming weeks if the Trump campaign begins pulling money out of other states, and if so, what that means for the narrowing electoral map facing the incumbent.

Attorney General William Barr Is Facing Disbarment For Multiple Ethical Violations

Ever since he was confirmed as attorney general, William Barr has proven eager to do anything and everything his boss, Donald Trump, asks of him, whether it’s whitewashing the report from Special Counsel Robert Mueller to dismissing any U.S. attorney who might be investigating the president or his friends and associates.


But karma appears to finally be catching up with AG Barr, and he could soon be looking at losing his law license and the right to practice as an attorney.

Politico reports that Barr has been referred to the District of Columbia Bar for a thorough investigation and punitive actions if it’s determined his behavior were in violation of his oath to uphold the law:

“Four former presidents of the D.C. Bar Association have signed a letter calling on the group to investigate whether Attorney General William Barr has violated its rules.”


More specifically, Barr is accused of violating ethical rules in at least four instances:

“His characterization of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russia’s 2016 election interference, his criticism of an inspector general report on the Russia probe, his criticism of FBI officials in a TV interview, and his role in the disbursement of peaceful protesters from Lafayette Square, outside the White House.”

The letter to the Bar Association goes on to note:

“Mr. Barr’s client is the United States, and not the president. Yet, Mr. Barr has consistently made decisions and taken action to serve the personal and political self-interests of President Donald Trump, rather than the interest of the United States.”


Addressing the matter of the Mueller report and the way Barr misled the public and Congress about what was contained in it, the former presidents of the DC Bar argue that Barr’s assertion the FBI premise for beginning the Russia investigation was “very flimsy” was dishonest and not accurate, writing:

“Indeed, the notion that the legitimacy of an FBI investigation’s initiation should be judged by its end, if applied broadly, could easily chill the initiation of wholly legitimate inquiries for fear of being second-guessed.”

Attorney General Barr is facing criticism from other quarters, too. In June, the president of the New York City Bar Association sent a letter to Congress calling the AG “unfit” while referencing some of the same concerns as the letter to the DC Bar Association.

Just imagine the irony if after being a loyal lapdog for Donald Trump, William Barr is unable to practice law ever again. It would be a fitting end to his checkered career and also a humiliation for his presidential master.
