Gun Nuts

NRA Spokesman To Parents Of Slain VA Journalists: Don’t Be ‘So Emotional’

I knew the National Rifle Association (NRA) would stoop to any level in an attempt to brainwash the American public into believing that all sensible gun control legislation is an assault on Second Amendment rights (even though it clearly isn’t), but I had no idea they would direct their propaganda at the grieving parents of the two journalists killed in Virginia last week.

Colion Noir, a spokesman and video host for the defenders of gun violence at the NRA says in a video that the parents of murdered TV journalists Alison Parker and Adam Ward shouldn’t let their emotions get in the way of how important the right to bear arms is in the United States.

Noir, speaking directly to the camera, begins by saying:

“Grief-inspired advocacy can be extremely effective and powerful. And I say run full speed to find a way to end violence like this. However, sometimes in a fight we can become so emotional everyone and thing starts looking like the enemy, even if they’re there to help us. I’m deeply sorry for your loss.”

Yes, we can all see just how broken up you and the NRA gun nuts are about the deaths, Colion. Save your crocodile tears for someone who believes your mountain of lies and utter bullshit. Noir then says:

“Turning this murder into a gun control dog-and-pony show minutes after the shooting because you can’t make sense of what just happened is ridiculous.”

Parents who have just lost a child are entitled to turn that death into any kind of show they damn well want to, wouldn’t you agree?

Finally, this enormous pile of fetid human excrement gets his political message in, declaring that President Obama and Hillary Clinton and “the rest of the gun control Wu-Tang Clan” are so badly blinded by their emotions that:

“They try to take advantage of people’s ignorance about guns and their emotional response to horrible events to win votes and push an agenda that fosters an unhealthy dependence on the government.”

As a father, I’m not sure I can fully express just how angry this video makes me. For the NRA to even suggest that grieving parents are somehow pawns in a political power play is both disgusting and incorrect. The NRA is nothing more than the henchmen for the companies that make millions from the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction.

How do these monsters sleep at night?

WTF?! Over The Weekend, Rick Perry Compared Himself To Jesus

I knew former Texas Governor and 2016 GOP candidate Rick Perry was stupid, but I had no idea he was also mentally unstable.

Over the weekend, at a “We Stand With God” rally held in South Carolina, Perry proclaimed he was “willing to die” to fight what he termed the “political corruption (of) the left,” and then added:

“Will you join me in that effort? Will you load up? Are you ready to sacrifice? What are you willing to die for? Are you willing to rise up and stand for God and to go forward and live for the principles and the values that this country were based upon? Are you ready? Onward Christian soldiers!”

Anyone willing to die for anything that comes out of this dimbulb’s mouth is just unstable as he is.

So let’s take a moment to compare His Holiness Rick Perry with Jesus Christ:

You may recall that Jesus preached that the “kingdom of heaven” belongs to children. How does Saint Rick square that concept with the fact that he and the Texas legislature cut education funding by $5.4 billion?

Perry signed almost 300 execution orders as Texas governor, including one that sent a father convicted in the arson deaths of his children to his death after prosecutors hid evidence of his innocence. While he was at it, he also vetoed a ban on executing mentally disabled inmates. Sound Christlike to you?

The Great Perry also  turned down billions in federal dollars that would have expanded Medicaid coverage to 1.5 million less fortunate Texans. Can you find anyplace in the Bible that would justify this action?

So Rick Perry thinks he’s like Jesus, does he? Not only is that an insult to Jesus and to God Himself, it’s also an insult to the intelligence of any person with a pulse.

Bernie Sanders: 6 Reasons To Vote For Me Instead Of Hillary

The poll numbers released over the weekend were good news indeed for Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. A new poll conducted by the Des Moines Register and Bloomberg shows the Vermont Senator pulling to within seven points of frontrunner Hillary Clinton.

And yesterday, during an appearance on CNN, Sanders told Jake Tapper that there are differences between him and Hillary Clinton that he hopes to make Democrats aware of. He then listed six major areas of disagreement between him and the former Secretary of State:

1. “I believe that, when you have so few banks with so much power, you have to not only reestablish Glass-Steagall, but you have got to break them up. That is not Hillary Clinton’s position.”

2. “I believe that our trade policies, NAFTA, CAFTA, PNTR with China, have been a disaster. I am helping to lead the effort against the Trans-Pacific Partnership. That is not Hillary Clinton’s position.”

3.  “We have to be aggressive in transforming our energy system away from fossil fuel, and defeat the Keystone pipeline. That is not Hillary Clinton’s position.”

4. “I believe that, as opposed to my Republican colleagues who want to cut Social Security, I believe we should expand Social Security by lifting the cap on taxable income. That’s not Hillary Clinton’s position.”

5. “I believe that we have got to raise the minimum wage over a period of several years to $15 an hour – not Hillary Clinton’s position.”

6.  “I voted against the war in Iraq. Hillary Clinton voted for it.”

There is a great deal of momentum building behind Bernie Sanders. He is drawing huge crowds everywhere he goes, and the numbers continue to show him gaining ground on Hillary Clinton. He may not wind up being the Democratic nominee for President, but he is indeed making a difference in this campaign, and for that alone he should be thanked.

Liz Cheney Claims Americans Feel ‘Gratitude’ For Her Father, Dick

Here’s a question I want to run by you, and I hope you’ll be perfectly honest with me: Are you thankful for Dick Cheney? Are you thankful he was Vice President and got us into the war in Iraq?

I ask these questions, because earlier today on “CBS This Morning,” Liz Cheney, daughter of Dr. Evil (which is what I call him), made this remark, which I have to admit astonished me:

“I know, for all of us who love you, the gratitude as Americans that we feel, is matched only by our love for him.”

She turned to her father, who was there, along with Liz, to promote their latest tome of excrement,  Exceptional: Why the World Needs a Powerful America when she said that. When you give Dick and Liz a chance to get up and spout out their vile, warmongering drivel, they never take a pass on the invite, even though they most definitely should.

And they did not disappoint, with Dick saying:

“If you’re just nothing but warmth and friendliness and so forth, you seriously can’t deal with the kinds of issues I’ve had to deal with over the years, and that I wanted to deal with. It’s almost, I think, if you are criticism-free, then you’re probably not doing your job.”

I wonder how the tens of thousands of American servicemen and women who served, bled, were horribly wounded, or died in the fake war Dr. Evil dreamed up in Iraq would feel if they could talk to this piece of crap face to face. What would their criticism of this heartless monster be? Would their claims of praise be as rosy as those of Liz Cheney?

And the Papa Cheney declared this about the war in Iraq:

“There was widespread support at the time, and it was justified. I’m well known as somebody who has strongly defended that as the right thing to do. And I still believe that.”

Of course you still believe that. After all, you’re still a stockholder in Halliburton, and they made how many hundreds of millions of dollars off the Iraq fiasco?

Dick and Liz Cheney are shameless when it comes to defending the vile and stupid mistakes Dr. Evil made in the past which have led to the deaths of millions and left the world a more dangerous place.

I for one will never be satisfied until Dick Cheney is standing before the World Court, charged with war crimes.

Scott Walker Says He’s Open To Building A Wall Along U.S.-Canadian Border

Scott Walker may well be the candidate most favored by the Koch brothers, but the way he’s been fading in the polls lately, it doesn’t appear that money will be able to keep him afloat for much longer.

A couple of months ago I predicted that the Wisconsin Governor would never be elected President of the United States, but it may be time to amend my prophecy and declare that this bumbling moron’s campaign will never survive beyond the end of October.

Today would be the perfect example of why no one takes Walker seriously. Appearing on “Meet the Press,” Governor Walker said it might not be a bad idea to build a wall along the U.S.-Canadian border after we build one on the border with Mexico, telling Chuck Todd:

“That is a legitimate issue for us to look at.”

While we’re at it, can we also build a big wall around Wisconsin so this asshat cannot leave the state and infect the rest of America with his brand of lunacy and sheer incompetence? Put me down for $10 towards construction of that wall.

Walker went on to add:

“It starts with securing the homeland. It wasn’t just about building a wall and securing our borders. It was also about making sure our intelligence community has the ability for counterterrorism and the ability to go after the infrastructure they need to protect us.”

Yes, by all means lets throw several billion more dollars at the FBI, CIA, and NSA, because they don’t get enough of the federal budget as it is. And no doubt Walker would spend this additional money while also cutting taxes for the rich, especially his benefactors, Charles and David Koch.

The dunderhead from Wisconsin said he believes securing American borders is a top priority:

“We spend all this money on TSA. But I think right now one of the most rampant spots is on our southern-based border.”

At this time I would like to amend my earlier prediction: Scott Walker will not still be a candidate at the end of this calendar year. By that time, statements like the ones he made earlier today will have sunk the feeble chances he ever had of securing the GOP nomination. So allow me to say good riddance to Walker now and avoid the Christmas rush.
